I edited the senten that claimed Jon did his Radio 6 show with his 'boyfriend' Russell Howard, removing boyfriend. Anyone who listened to their show or has seen Mock the Week should know that they are both cearly straight, and Russell often talks about his girlfriend. Looks like someone's been changing it back again. Tsk tsk. Changed it back have cleaned up the article a bit as well so it reads less like a vnity page, or indeed like it's been copied and pasted from comedycv.co.uk. Hohum. Curiousbadger 08:45, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Come on now, if you'd listened to the show, you'd know that they get quite a lot of fun out of this page. Yes, I realise wikipedia is meant to be informative. But this (and Russell oward's page) are the pages of entertainers and have been edited by fs of their show with in-jokes referencing the show. Now in my mind, this shouldn't be silenced. Stop taking it all so seriously! Cake Is A Lie 21:57, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's not taking it seriously, it's simply an encyclopaedia. Also, Jon himself complained about it when they covered it on the show. TheFishMan92 00:30, 15 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah but Jon complains about everything. --mrbob —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mr.Bob (talkcontribs) 19:01, 2 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah but so do Wikipedia editors. --74.75.145.125 (talk) 02:19, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I can't edit this page for some reason but they've spelt "if.comdey" worng. Its "if.comeddie" - sorry! I know its only 3 letters but its been bugging me. Thats just the type of guy I am. Christ my life's boring..... Gregcarty600 (talk) 10:29, 12 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why can this page not be edited by anyone any more? If possible, will someone who can edit it add that Jon was the winner of Breakthrough Act in the 2008 Chortle awards? The information is incredibly sparse on here, which is a shame for someone who is becoming so successful. Also, his full name is Jonathan Joel Richardson. Thanks. --Ocd pixie (talk) 21:58, 11 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's a shame the page can't be edited any more, I was hoping to edit in more information about his family as there is very little info so far. Anybody know why we can't edit? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Han4dec (talkcontribs) 10:14, 4 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It can certainly be worked on now. Maybe Wiki was having server problems earlier. Asarelah (talk) 00:00, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Jon Richardson drunkenly dug a hold in his back garden with bare feet, unfortunately putting the spade through his toes. Most were saved but you may notice that one of his shoes is significantly smaller than the other. He has since this day been modeling his own brand of shoes (6.5Toes) but has been met by critisism due to his decision to use horse skin, using one horse per shoe.

He is also a keen fan of Tom Parker Bowles and hopes one day to meet him. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.47.168.174 (talk) 22:27, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know if its important or not, but Jon presents the BBC6 music on his own now, or for the time being, I was going to edit it but obviously I can't —Preceding unsigned comment added by Itgonrain (talkcontribs) 18:57, 30 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Would someone add the category Old_Lancastrians to this page please? Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.136.129.233 (talk) 11:00, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Should the part where Richardson is described as a 'dog lover' really direct to Zoophilia? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Peaches and cream 91 (talkcontribs) 14:43, 27 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No, it seems inappropriate. I've removed the link. VI talk 22:12, 27 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Jon Richardson, the comedian, is now far more notable than the footballer (having been on Have I Got News For You, had his own radio show on BBC 6 Music and been nominated for the main Edinburgh Comedy Award in 2009). I feel that 'Jon Richardson (entertainer)' should become 'Jon Richardson', which 'Jon Richardson' (the current one, on 29th April 2010) should become 'Jon Richardson (footballer)'

With his persona, it is fitting that this page has no 'Personal Life' section. Gawilka (talk) 10:26, 20 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder[edit]

It is quite well known that Jon Richardson has obsessive-compulsive personality disorder, as confirmed in this article:

"[Richardson] says work on a documentary about obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) - and being told that he didn't actually have it himself (he has obsessive compulsive personality disorder, which is about personality rather than anxiety) - was 'life-changing'."

Additionally, and more importantly, it was the subject of his comedy special and was discussed in his book. This is clearly quite relevant and should be mentioned in the article.24.130.111.82 (talk) 19:19, 19 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that it should be mentioned, so thank you for adding it. I think the existing sources for the sentence do verify that he has obsessive-compulsive personality disorder, but feel free to add additional sources, like his book (preferably with page numbers!). — Bilorv (talk) 10:22, 20 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
