English name[edit]

When the English name was changed formally? The university said, they will think about changing English name. But, As long as I know, the university has not changed the English name yet. Please add the sources of the information. I can not find the news, and the university's site has not changed the English name. This doesn't sound right to me. I work at Kinki University and I have never heard anyone talking about this. I never got a memo in my mailbox saying the name has changed. There is not a press release on their website saying that the name has been changed. The sign on the main gate of the campus still says "Kinki University" and both the English and Japanese websites still use the words "Kinki University." Finally, the Japanese wikipedia site lists the English name as Kinki University. MARHALT comment added by Marhalt (talk • contribs) 03:37, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

See this. I'm wary of including it right now because of WP:CRYSTAL (they may change their mind) but I guess that it would be ok to do so since that news story was actually linked from the English-language homepage of the university's official website on 22 May 2014. - Sitush (talk) 18:01, 5 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
