Image[edit]

I uploaded a real small box art for KDM (only 144px), although I found a much better one here. I would've uploaded that, but it has a "Moby Games" watermark in the corner. Does anyone think it would be fine to use that bigger one? I'd assume the answer is no 'cuz of the watermark. --gakon5 (talk)

Your assumption is correct. 70.132.147.120 03:10, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • "control Kirby" any chance of telling us who/what Kirby is?
    • Tried saying "the character Kirby". Kinda hard to not go into too much detail about what he is in something that short.
  • Link power-up.
    • Done.
  • Which Engvar? We have "favorable" (USEng) and "cancelled" (UKEng)...
    • Settled with "canceled".
  • Hirokazu Ando is mentioned in the infobox but not in the article or referenced?
    • The mindset that most have on WP:VG (at least, I'm quite sure of it) is that for the staff listings, the game itself is the source and doesn't require any additional citations.
  • Directors and producers are similarly mentioned there but not referenced or mentioned in the prose.
    • Same reason as above
  • Image captions which are complete sentences need a full stop.
    • Done
  • "September 21, 1994 as" comma after 1994.
    • Done.
  • Where is European release date ref'd?
    • Couldn't find a reliable source for its European release date, so I just listed 1995. Somebody can always add the date back if they've got a source to back it up.
  • "one of 30" one of thirty.
    • Done
  • 'demonstrated as a playable demo" demo/demo repeat.
    • Done.
  • ""though its concepts " some of them?
    • Done.
  • " time.[16][15] " order.
    • Done.
  • "of Computer & Video Games believed i" and not &
    • They're also known as Computer & Video Games, though since the article uses "and" instead of the ampersand I just used "and".
  • " novelty.[5][4] " order.
    • Done. I keep forgetting to do this.
  • Spaced hyphens in ref titles should be en-dashes per MOS.
    • Done.

Tbat's about it for a first pass, so it's on hold. The Rambling Man (Stay alert! Control the virus! Save lives!!!!) 18:46, 6 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

User:Namcokid47 going to address this? The Rambling Man (Stay alert! Control the virus! Save lives!!!!) 20:21, 12 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The Rambling Man: Addressed. Thank you for your patience. Namcokid47 07:50, 13 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not convinced that the production staff are verified by the game itself. Can you show me a discussion where consensus concluded to that effect? The Rambling Man (Stay alert! Control the virus! Save lives!!!!) 08:59, 13 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The Rambling Man: I'm certain there was some kind of discussion regarding this, but I'm unable to find it right now. For the time being, I've chosen to remove the staff credits. Namcokid47 22:39, 15 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, seems satisfactory so I'll promote. The Rambling Man (Stay alert! Control the virus! Save lives!!!!) 08:06, 17 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Developer information inquiry[edit]

What's the source on Nintendo EAD being a co-developer for this game? Leaving aside the fact that they didn't exist in this form or with that name back then, I can't even find proper sourcing to indicate that Nintendo R&D 4 -EAD's original moniker- was involved as a department. The best available citation provided in the article currently is an external link with no substantiation to it.

EDIT: Tagging Namcokid47 for advice on the matter before I make any edits. Apologies for the disturbance, but it seems as though you'd be the best editor to ask considering your involvement in nominating the article for its standing as well as being particularly active otherwise. I've found that the issue of note originates from a 2012 edit that makes the claim on basis of mutual staff between what's currently known as EAD and the credits of the game. However, the citation is Moby Games, who are regarded as an unreliable source according to WP:VG/RS. This is leaving aside the cross-over of some staff not being an explicit indication of broader department involvement. Please let me know if you think my potential removal of the claim and related edits would be a reasonable course of action, as no other page or source provides enough substance to prop it up so far as I can find.
