Fair use rationale for Image:Terminator1003.JPG[edit]

Image:Terminator1003.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 03:51, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Age[edit]

He either isn't 22, or wasn't born in 2002. In the first movie he said that he served for Tech Com between 2021 and 2027 under Perry, and under Connor from 2027 to 2029. That would make him 27, which was the actor's real age anyway. Chaparral2J (talk) 23:53, 13 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

He appears to be five or six when Derek Reese takes John to see him. Besides, everything that John Connor did to ensure his own existence, including sending Reese back, the T-800 back, etc, alters what happens in the future. It is possible that his birthdate could have been moved up with the changes to the timeline. Since the Terminator 4 film takes place in 2019 after Judgement Day, it is said Kyle is supposed to be still a teenager when he becomes a human resistance soldier. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 156.34.248.116 (talk) 22:47, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Besides, look at Anton Yelchin's age. He is about 18-19 as of 2008, so that would be right around Reese's age in this film. The whole idea of changing the future is probable, considering the show reveals he was born in 2002. Not impossible. For the record, James Cameron's original script clearly states his age is 22. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 156.34.244.127 (talk) 20:25, 23 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, but technically Kyle may not be sent back in Terminator Salvation, as there are two more films in the making, it could be possibe that John sends him off in Terminator 5 or even 6 and that the time line skips as ever, making Kyle 22 or 27--Bernessa (talk) 18:33, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Kyle is not the same tough guy you saw in the 1st movie; he is now a more pussified version of himself. The only constant is that he needs to be sent back or John won't exist. Age, body, appearance, persona, experiences, all change, only the name stays the same. Kyle in TtSCC is a different man, so will be Kyle in Salvation. --< Nicht Nein! Regarding the Actor in The Sarah Connor Chronicles[edit]

I think it should be worth mentioning that Jonathan Jackson is so far the only actor in the series to look most like the original actor of his character.

Unless you can find a reference that would be orginial research. Edgepedia (talk) 06:45, 17 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding the year of the Nuclear War (Judgment Day)[edit]

In the newest installment, Terminator Salvation, the starting scene depicts Dr. Serena Kogan convincing Marcus Wright to donate his body for research, in the year 2003. Also, the film depicts that a year later, that is in 2004, the Skynet (Terminator) realizes that humans are a threat to its existence and so they are destroyed in a nuclear war (Judgment day). This article contradicts that by stating that Judgment Day took place on August 29th, 1997. Please clarify. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Abhijitvalluri (talkcontribs) 06:38, 6 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • As of the ORIGINAL timeline for The Terminator, Judgement Day happens in 1997 (13 years after the attempt on Sarah Connor's life). Events of Terminator 2: Judgement Day pushes BACK the eventual take-over of Skynet from mid-90's to the early 2000's (around 2004-2005) due to the destruction (and subsequent liquidisation) of Cyberdyne which delays the construction of the eventual Skynet hardware and program. This is directly referenced in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines when John is talking with the T-850 about 'Judgement Day' "never happening" as originally planned, with T-850 responding that it has merely "been pushed back". Later in T3:RotM Judgment Day DOES happen, and is presumably sometime after the events of Marcus' donating his body to research held by the company that becomes part of Skynet in Salvation. Middle initial L[edit]

I was watching this video clip and the narration (I figure from some documentary or director's cut) preceding the actual cut scene sounds like the narrator is saying:

"This dream sequence, cut from the final release, featured the return of Kyle L. Reese"

However I'm not totally certain because since the letter is also the second syllable of the name Kyle, it might just be an audio skip where due to error it rewound and replayed the sound. In which case he may have just said "the return of Kyle Reese". Wondering if others could weigh in on this. 174.92.135.167 (talk) 14:55, 6 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
