Untitled[edit]

Trying to move the too large list from the Congressional Cemetery article to here. Some things to do

  • slim down the too large list there - hard to do but meaningful
  • divide congressmen up into Cenotaph vs. no-Cenotaph, and mark after the name if somebody is buried under his cenotaph.
  • add names from the Category:burials at congressional cemetery
  • add names that link to Congressional Cemetery
  • double check in the articles that its the right person in the right place

Any help appreciated. Smallbones (talk) 17:10, 20 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Congressional Cenotaphs section[edit]

This section is almost complete. The NRHP nomination says that there are 168 Congressional Cenotaphs. There are 167 here, but a few things might be questionable.

  • Thorton was not a congressman - should his cenotaph be included (believe so, the 168 were specifically called structures in the nomination)
  • One memorializes 2 congressmen (Boggs and Begich)
  • One has a slightly different form (rough edges) and is in granite. (Maybe a replacement?) - (no, he was from Vermont, the Granite State Smallbones (talk) 17:12, 13 August 2012 (UTC))[reply]

But counting the "nearly identical structures" there are 167. Barnstar to whoever finds the last one! Smallbones (talk) 19:32, 2 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
