Slovenia & Slavonia[edit]

Would Slovenia (the country,) and Slavonia (Slavonija, a region in eastern Croatia) qualify for this page? Itreius (talk) 10:09, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

no, the names are similar but different in all languages. In contrast, "Moldavia" and "Moldova" are only different in English, in Romanan they are both called "Moldova". Andreas  (T) 13:18, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What about the United States of America and the continent of America?[edit]

In this article could the idea that in English "America" can mean the United States, but also (sometimes archaically) could also mean the continent of America, would it count towards the “states and regions” part of the articles name? -- Sion8 (talk) 07:49, 10 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Mongolia and Inner Mongolia[edit]

Would the country of Mongolia, sometimes known as Outer Mongolia, be considered similar enough to the Chinese autonomous region of Inner Mongolia? Kerigorrical (talk) 07:57, 18 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

La Paz[edit]

There are administrative regions called "La Paz" all over central and south america, all officially named "La Paz Department". I am unsure as to the scope of this article but this one seems to fit right? Jasdasra (talk) 15:27, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
