Protected[edit]

I've currently protected several pages, including this one, for three days in response to edit wars over non-free image use. Please try to resolve these issues through discussion and the dispute resolution process. Relevant discussion at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content#Edit-warring and elsewhere; please participate there instead of risking further page locks and user blocks. – Luna Santin (talk) 03:36, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding the earlier edit war.[edit]

Per Wikipedia:Non-free_content#Multimedia "An album cover as part of a discography" are expressly forbidden. (I'm not here to argue the wisdom of the policy, only to point out its existence and that it is generally enforced). Is there any reason that I'm missing that the page still has the images? --Gmaxwell (talk) 07:51, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see "expressly forbidden", only "generally fails the test for significance" and "may fail to satisfy the policy". Shiroi Hane (talk) 14:31, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
In any case particular use here seems to be fairly clearly spelled out as "Unacceptable use". Do I have to remove the images in order to get a response here which is more than hair splitting over the language on the NFC page? --Gmaxwell (talk) 17:28, 7 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The images obviously need to be removed once the protection expires. Anyone with a basic understanding for the letter and intent of the WP:NFCC can see that. Non-free image galleries have no place in our free encyclopedia. I don't advocate editing over the protection to do remove them, as Luna Santin obviously protected the Wrong Version in good faith, but this is definitely the wrong version indeed. WP:NFCC will be followed: consensus is clear, and a few people clamoring on about the policy being "disputed" for a week will stop its enforcement only temporarily. Hello? Is no one objecting to the removal of the images per the page/text cited above? --Gmaxwell (talk) 04:36, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I do. Every image meets the 10 criteria set forth in WP:NOTFREE (I personally expanded the justification criteria for each image file and it fits). Because of this, removal of the images is unwarranted. When the protection expires, they'll be kept. Fortunately, I'm not the only one who'll be working to make sure they aren't wrongly deleted. I might as well bite: if there was a seperate page for each album there would be no complaint, yes? Why it is that having them all on one page is such a problem? Splitting the page up would just prompt a flurry of AFDs. Album covers are valuable idenfitication tools - if we were to replace them with "if you want to see what it look like, here's a link to Amazon" wouldn't there be complaints about that as well? Shiroi Hane (talk) 07:44, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
This isn't a case where if they were separate articles they'd be kept, since the usage is only allowed where there is material discussion. Garnishing a discography is a specifically excluded use, as I quoted above. Iff the page contained a discussion of each album beyond just a track listing then I'd agree that there shouldn't be an issue and wouldn't be an issue for sure if they were split. The images need to be used to facilitate an explanation, not merely to decorate a list. --Gmaxwell (talk) 12:04, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Album covers are not supported in discographies. This has been long standing practice now and is not in dispute. Pick any random sampling of 50 articles from Category:Discographies. You will not find a single article in that category that contains album covers. If by some miracle you do find one, it will have only recently been added and the covers will be removed soon. I've removed the album covers again, as this is a clear violation of our guideline and policy. Do not re-add them. Thanks, --Hammersoft (talk) 14:35, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I`m looking for a song.[edit]

What is the name of that singlar piano song that plays alot, especially when the girls are walking?

( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CRObEbJqUoQ --- This video plays a segment of the song i`m speaking of.)

BGM Disc 11, Tracks 1-3[edit]

Long known as "Yanchimental" -- probably because of Nipponsei's release -- I found the track name to be 「センチメンタル修学旅行」, the first character of which should be se and not ya. Perhaps a misreading that went unchecked for a long time. --Crisu (talk) 14:09, 9 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"Lucky Star" Uta no Best - Anime Series 10th Aniversary CD[edit]

Outside of this article I noticed there was a 10th anniversary album possibly published on 2017-08-02 called 『らき☆すた』歌のベスト~アニメ放送10周年記念盤~ (OCLC:1030164570, track list) which I can't find in the article. I think it is the album mentioned on this english site. Please consider adding it to the article. Baltakatei 17:44, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Escape to Sleep and Reset! or Escape by Sleep and Reset![edit]

Some sources claim both titles, which one is the correct one as currently the latter is on the article. KEleison (talk) 06:20, 6 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
