Mahesh Babu name source for Babu[edit]

@Ab207:, @DareshMohan, @DaxServer: Can someone please tell from where do we have sources with birth name as Babu ? and why are we finding it extremely difficult to understand that popular names published in sources which are mirroring wikipedia articles. Babu is a nick name in Telugu as in Sobhan Babu, and Mohan Babu. Why are we illogically mixing screen names as credited in titles with birth names.

Fostera12 (talk) 02:44, 27 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Fostera12 His full name is "Ghattamaneni Mahesh Babu" per the cited source. That's literally the name of his production company as well. So it's displayed per MOS:FULLNAME. Don't see anything illogical here.
Babu can sometimes be used as a nickname doesn't mean it's always a nickname. -- Ab207 (talk) 17:10, 27 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Ab207: First of all there is no source citing his name in the article, neither in lead section nor in early life section. Second his production company's name could be "Ghattamaneni Mahesh Babu" that doesnt mean his birth name is Babu. We should look at this issue properly taking other editor's views. And I request my fellow editor :@User:Jayanthkumar123 to provide source on babu, and wait till we reach consensus from other editors.Fostera12 (talk) 16:13, 28 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
See that's exactly what I am trying to say since a long time. Please wait till we reach consensus from other editors. You are the one who changes the "long-standing" content without providing proper source. And again you blame others like me for content dispute. Why can't you wait till we reach consensus. If the recently edited content is altered, that's considerable, but changing the long-standing content and simply reverting is not acceptable. Jayanthkumar123 (talk) 16:25, 28 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jayanthkumar123 pls use proper words in your messages. Like how I am maintaining decorum. I have not uttered any word (blame, dispute etc), i just mentioned fellow editor. Any thing long standing doesn't automatically make it correct. If you have, you pls provide source for Babu. Fostera12 (talk) 16:30, 28 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry I don't get your intention behind this reply. Can you show me one word which is improper from my above reply. Jayanthkumar123 (talk) 16:31, 28 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I am talking about this line in quotes "And again you blame others like me for content dispute" ?? can u tell me where I blamed others ? And by the way he is widely known as Mahesh Babu, there is no issue on that. The issue is about mentioning Babu as his birth name. Fostera12 (talk) 16:38, 28 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Of course don't you know whom you blamed. You have personally attacked me twice, for which you were one once blocked. [User talk:DareshMohan#Article deletions], check this for your reference. I don't want others to be unnecessarily involved here, but you have blamed others. Jayanthkumar123 (talk) 16:45, 28 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

That is past issue, let us focs on this issue, where in the source you provided in infobox says that mahesh babu birth name includes babu ? Fostera12 (talk) 16:53, 28 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The source already exits in the infobox. Please check Jayanthkumar123 (talk) 16:54, 28 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Fostera12 This article from The Hindu uses his full name. It's cited in the infobox already. -- Ab207 (talk) 16:55, 28 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
By the way, you are the one who have blamed me again by using such comment--"pls use proper words in your messages". Jayanthkumar123 (talk) 16:55, 28 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

"Please use proper words" is not blame yaar. Let us focus on the issue here. My dear editor, ::@Ab207: so where does it say that his birth name is Babu? The publisher cites Mahesh Babu as popular media does, and for your info I did not blame anyone in the recent times, I was extremely busy significantly updating IFFI articles. Fostera12 (talk) 16:58, 28 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Fostera12 There is already a reliable source for the full name. Now it's your turn to bring better sources to support your changes and seek consensus. -- Ab207 (talk) 17:06, 28 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This issue is plain mirroring of wikipedia, and Babu is not part of birth names in Mahesh Babu, and Pawan Kalyan, and this is a fact. There is no involvement from other editors doesn't make your point agreeable. There is no source for their birth names. This is a fact. The source is wrong. Fostera12 (talk) 17:13, 28 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Babu is very much used as a birthname, see B. Santosh Babu. I'm not sure where you got this notion that it's only nickname or screenname. -- Ab207 (talk) 17:25, 28 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Please find a better argument than "rv incorrect source", it's not helping otherwise. -- Ab207 (talk) 17:42, 29 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I am a big fan of mahesh anna, so want to do some changes in his wiki with his latest updates time to time Pavan1456 (talk) 10:28, 3 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. — DaxServer (t · m · c) 11:17, 3 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
