Why iodine[edit]

Sounded like the only function of the iodine was to enable the imaging of cells that have been infected by the virus. but Msaouel-2009 abstract says can use I-123 for imaging and I-131 for additional [radio]therapeutic effect. Article could make this clearer ? - Rod57 (talk) 17:05, 16 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I agree the article is not comprehensive. In fact, it is an initial effort to encourage others to expand upon this important topic. Although such an article cannot provide the final answer for therapeutic approaches, it is my hope that this research will grow and become more important over time. Yes, the article should make clear the imaging vs. therapy approach to MV-NIS. Please consider fundamental and peer-reviewed articles for in depth analysis of the reported results. You may find the answer you seek in articles as this one, published by Molecular Therapy. Kyle(talk) 17:39, 17 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
