Tamil from மேலத்தூர் to மெலட்டூர்[edit]

மெலட்டூர் is the official usage and not மேலத்தூர் (Whoever came up with it?!?)

Sign boards, land documents and even internet searched have the tamil version as மெலட்டூர்.

Re: Edit in Melattur, Tamil Nadu page[edit]

Simple. The content you added was not verifiable. Most of it was based on hearsay. I'd rather suggest that you understand Wikipedia's policies and guidelines before making edits.-The EnforcerOffice of the secret service 04:55, 27 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

With reference to your reply User_talk:Catchmeraghav#Re:_Edit_in_Melattur.2C_Tamil_Nadu_page
How sure are you with the details or the authenticity of your input sir. For example: ¨climax scene in which the actor playing the part of Narasimha supposedly becomes possessed" Are you sure of this particular line. At the same time on what basis do you deny ¨the climax scene in which the actor playing the part of Narasimha wears the holy mask of Narasimha kept in pooja at the Varadaraja perumal temple. The dialogues between Hiranyakashipu and his son Prahlada as well as the conversation between Hiranyakashipu and Narasimha are very moving and is written with whole Bakthi which is meant to be imparted in the dramas of Bhagavatha Mela.¨ - which is so true and can be authenticated by the inumerous audience of the Baghavatha Mela.
Moreover it is ¨Bhagavatha Mela¨ and definetly not BhagavathaR mela. I have given a proper explaination for this and its not hearsay. How do you justify your version sir.
Are you also very sure that the ¨an exodus of people from Atthigiri (Kanchipuram) migrated south and settled in Melattur[1][2]. They built the Varadaraja Perumal temple at the north-western corner of the Agraharam and introduced Vaishnavism in the village and surrounding areas¨, while there is evidence of an unearthed temple near the existing Perumal temple´s pond and there are two Narasimha idols kept from that excavation in the temple now.
I suppose you have NO or very less knowledge or ill-informed about Melattur.
I would request you again to revert to my version. Otherwise we can discuss what you feel contradictory in my version and settle on the correct version with a correct picture to the reader.
With due respects and no offense I would consider your version to be misdirecting and influenced and your absolute revert back to your version overriding every change of mine would not be appropriate. I am open for a discussion on this.
I would request you to not go blindly by the external links alone. I have news paper clipping from way back 1960-s to support most of my facts on BhagavathA mela. While the details on the Varadaraja Perumal temple have many books published recently and long time back - of which I cannot provide an external link whatsoever.
May I also ask you what is the source of your information on Melattur OTHER THAN the few pages provided by external links - which are BASICALLY interviews of a single or a specific group of personality(s) belonging to Melattur.

I have added references, you have NOT. Period. Besides, check out Wikipedia's policy of WP:NPA.The EnforcerOffice of the secret service 01:23, 29 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
My version of the article has been rated "C-class". If you can add more references and improve the article then please do it. If you cannot, then don't meddle with it. I don't care about know or what I don't know. If you had made some original research on Melattur, then you may create a blog on the same not add the stuff to a Wikipedia article. Bye.-The EnforcerOffice of the secret service 01:27, 29 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I seriously don't understand why you should revert back completely to your version. For eg.even your references say it is Bhagavatha Mela and there is no 'R'in Bhagavatha mela. I had given a proper explaination for that.
Moreover while writing something on a local setup, all perspectives are important and they are to be written as it is. I guess I have done justice to that. Now please don't come back with your 'references'. Infact most of the references or the content you have given come from a single person's or a sinle group's input to the web or media (interviews, articles etc.) and your article thus seems very skewed.
This is the reason I ask for a discussion with you. Moreover I am getting whatever references I can to support every detail of mine. I am new here, may I ask your help, in refering very old newspaper articles etc as references.
