Article needs work[edit]

This article needs a lot of work to get it up to the same standards as Scarborough, Ontario. I recommend the following:

  • expanded history section
  • removal of the mayors/reeves list to a separate article
  • a geography section which could include the North York Centre text
  • an expanded demographic section
  • a climate section
  • combine the sports and notable people section into an Arts and Culture section

That will do for starters. EncyclopediaUpdaticus (talk) 19:28, 29 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Article also needs some details about the boundaries of North York (i.e. what is considered North York, what isn't). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.69.63.160 (talk) 14:31, 4 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
    • THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT. I came here just to find this information and left without it. Basic stuff! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.233.108.228 (talk) 18:56, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The Demographics language uses some too-colorful language. As an example: "Black Canadians dominate the western half of North York making up 19% of the population past Allen Road." Well, 19% is not "domination". elpincha (talk) 16:17, 14 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I have improved the passage slightly. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 31.53.53.222 (talk) 08:28, 19 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Bombed the demographics section which was the worst part about the article - largely POV and unsourced. 2001 was the last census year of the unified North York. Vaselineeeeeeee★★★ 20:21, 20 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
