Unsourced claim of “profound impact”[edit]

The source cited for this passage below doesn’t support it, as far as I can see. There is reference to Iceland continuing a literary tradition from the sagas, but nothing about “patterns of thought”. And if this was true then surely there would be some examples of this impact?

I’ll add a failed verification tag for now. Krakkos, thanks for writing almost all of this article on an interesting subject; please can you give a better source or explain this part?
