  - Just to clarify, Pithecanthropus is obsolete; the fossils are now classified in the genus Homo. An article on the topic Pithecanthropus should focus on the history of the fossils -- how the fossils fit into current thinking about human evolution should be at Homo erectus or something like that. - Comment: Was there any reason you used cut and paste rather than move? IMO move would have been a far better idea. Move keeps the edit history with the text, and would have automatically created the redirect as a bonus. I'm not sure it's worth fixing it now, though. Andrewa 10:09, 22 Apr 2004 (UTC)
