Port Place Development[edit]

I believe the organization that is opposed to the Port Place project is PROUD (Port Realizing our Unique Distinction), who created the S.O.S campaign and website. Trappy 19:01, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

revert -- see talk[edit]

Someone removed the gallery and the links to other St. Catharines communities. But they didn't say why. So I am restoring that information.

Can we clean this article up? Reference to the resaurant and bar scene. The book excerpt ending the article should go. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.108.235.199 (talk) 21:09, 4 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

question...[edit]

How long is the quoted material?

Has it been reproduced with permission of the copyright holders? They'd have to have liscenced it under the [[tl|gfdl}} I believe. Even so I think it should be better referenced, so readers can tell what is quoted material, previously published elsewhere.

Huge article[edit]

This article is immense for what really just a small neighbourhood in a small city. It should be toned down and summarized. Geo Swan (talk) 01:22, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright permission?[edit]

I've removed a massive chuck of this article, as it appears to self admittedly acknowledge that it was copied and pasted from copyrighted material at http://www.portmemories.com/ without any indication of permission for doing so. I apologize for removing several images from the article as well, while removing the apparent copyright violations. Due to my own lack of 'technical expertise' I was forced to do so. I'd like to request that someone with sufficient ability restore these (found below) to the article in a fashion that will not disrupt the overall layout, which is what happened when I attempted to replace them. Please do not restore the text material copied from the portmemories.com website without providing evidence of permission to use it from the copyright holder.

Paul Bernardo and Karla Homolka[edit]

Why doesn't this article acknowledge that two of the worst killers in Canadian history conducted their cruel treatment from this community? I think its wrong to leave it out considering its a significant detail. At the very least; it should be included with the miscellanea. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.121.212.60 (talk) 20:06, 22 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Heritage District[edit]

If someone wants to add a section on that, a good resource is Heritage District. Postcard Cathy (talk)
