NPOV and mild retardation?[edit]

The phrase "in a true spirit of Christian charity" seems to violate NPOV. Also, without having the text to the reference article available, I question the wording of saying that Dekker himself suffers from "mild retardation"--the retardation article says that even borderline retardation is going to max out at IQ 79, and I have a hard time imagining a person with that level of functioning getting a Bachelor's, managing a healthcare company, and then writing novels for a living. If he has a learning disability or a mild autism spectrum disorder or something, that would make more sense, but retardation seems out of the question. I believe that this should be removed unless someone can produce the actual quotes from the article and, for that matter, evidence of its existance; the publication it's supposedly from only gets one reference on Google, and that's here. 65.25.107.20 14:58, 12 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Project Showdown link[edit]

I put a link to Project Showdown on the page because, even though the site doesn't have manyt members, it has easy-to-access info that can't be found on either the official Ted Dekker site or on wikipedia. If you see it fit to remove the link, go ahead.

Is Skin part of the Circle/ books of history series?[edit]

When I read skin, I found no connection, but then I read Chosen when Johnis sees the guy from summersville talking about a killer. Then I remember in the book when the guy (whose name escapes me) sees a boy in the desert, now revealed to be Johnis. It doesn't have Skin on the list, yet when you go to Skin's page it says it is part of the circle series. I am not sure, but I just wanted to throw it out there. Most of Dekkers books are related. For example: in House the villians name is Barsidious White, White is the title of the third Circle book; in Showdown the villian is Marsuvees Black, Black is the first Circle book; and in Skin the villian is Sterling Red, Red is the second Circle book. Also, A man with a sword on a black horse in the dessert is seen in skin; Justin, from Red, is described as a man with a sword on a black horse in the dessert. In Showdown and Saint, the books of history show up from the Circle trilogy. Several characters have been seen in multiple seemingly unrelated Dekker books. I could go on and list many more, maybey we should make an article about the connections. But to answer your question, purple is not a part of the Circle TRILOGY. Well..I knew that. It's just some of his books (Blessed Child, A Man called Blessed, A Martyr's Song (I think,) series, obsessed and blink) have nothing to do with the books that are connected. It is connected its just we havnt heard to much about it but basicaly hes trying to go ahead and establish that these realities are intertwined and i believe we will see more about it later on in the lost book series. Showdown the Graphic Novel[edit]

In the back of White: The Graphic novel it says 'look out for Showdown:The Graphic Novel in 2008'. So, shouldn't that be on the list of Grpahic Novels? I mean, we are more sure of that being a grpahic novel than the others since it actually has an advertisement, and the others we are just assuming since it seeems to whole Books of History books are becoming graphic novels. Dekker Template[edit]

Should we edit the template to show that Lunatic and Elyon are Lost Books? I was also wondering about the Circle Series. Should we put Green as part of the Circle SERIES (not trilogy) because that's what it says on Ted's official website? It's under recent news if anyone else wants to read about it. This entire article is far to lauditory to be called neutral. He's known for unforgettable characters? I've never read any Ted Dekker, but that claim is surely subjective. Many sections in this article, mainly the Later writing career section, look like copy-paste from a promotional website or incredibly biased. Green[edit]

I'm putting Green after Black, Red and White, because it both was written after, and took place after. It shouldn't be considered a prequel at all. In fact, itwould ruin a lot of the rest of the Circle Series if you read it first. Trust me, I know this type of stuff from experience.

You also should NOT read the Paradise Books in ANY order other than Showdown, Saint and Sinner. The fact that they're not direct sequels doesn't have anything to do with it.
