His business career is rather more impressive than his cricketing, which was limited in duration. —Preceding unsigned comment added by FunkyCanute (talkcontribs) 14:44, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Education[edit]

The official history of Christ Church Grammar School says that Eddington attended that school for five years, between 1963 and 1967, and Eddington himself has been quoted as saying "... I came to Perth in 1963 to start secondary school." There seems to be no credible source for the assertion that Eddington went to Perth Modern School before he went to Christ Church. According to Perth Modern's own website, Perth Modern ceased to be a selective school in 1958, and it is therefore unlikely that in the mid 1960s Perth Modern would have admitted any students from country-based families. The cited source for the assertion is no longer available online, and is a citation for an honorary degree that makes no mention of Eddington's five years at Christ Church. The cited source therefore appears to be simply inaccurate. Unless a reliable source for the assertion is added in the near future, I will delete the assertion from this article, and delete all references to Eddington in List of Perth Modernians.
