Conflicting reports regarding date of birth[edit]

I don't see that this serial is listed anywhere currently on this page. Are you sure you are looking at the current version? Regarding the sources, the first appears to be the network's description of its own show and the second appears to be WP:USERGENERATED wiki-type material, so I'm not convinced that there has been significant, independent notice of this role. @L293D:, because it was phrased as if the anchor was present in the article already, and unless it got deleted between when they made their request and when I saw it, it did not. The sources they gave for adding the anchor and linking it further are not apparently notable enough to add it to the article. That's why I rejected it. I hope this helps. Sajal's first appearance on screen was a minor role in one episode of the 2009 Geo TV's comedy drama Nadaaniyaan. She received praise for her breakout role in the 2011 ARY Digital's family drama Mehmoodabad Ki Malkain.[3] Subsequently, she rose to prominence for portraying leading roles in several of the successful television series, including the comedy Mohabbat Jaye Bhar Mein (2012), the romances Sitamgar (2012), and Meri Ladli (2012), the family comedy Quddusi Sahab Ki Bewah (2013), and the drama Gul-e-Rana (2015).[4][5] Her performance in the teen drama Nanhi (2013), the psychological Sannata (2013), the revenge drama Chup Raho (2014) and the spiritual romance Khuda Dekh Raha Hai (2015), earned her widespread recognition as well as the Lux Style Award for Best Actress nominations.[6][7][8] Sajal garnered critical acclaim for portraying a troubled child in the telefilm Behadd (2013), and an aspiring actress in the relationship drama Zindagi Kitni Haseen Hay (2016), her first feature film.[9][10][11] Sajal made her Bollywood film debut starring opposite Sridevi in the 2017 Hindi film Mom.[12] Aly also sang the theme song for the series O Rangreza, in which she plays the character Sassi.[13] She portrays the role of Chammi in 2018 period drama Aangan of Hum TV.

Syeda Sajal Aly was born on 17 January 1992 in Lahore, Punjab Pakistan. She was the eldest of her siblings. Her mother, Firdous brought him up alone. Sajal received her early education from Lahore. Later she shifted to Karachi where she joined television industry.

Sajal made her first on-screen appearance as a minor role in Geo Entertainment's sitcom Nadaaniyaan(2011).[1] It was an episodic appearance followed by leading roles in several soaps serials, the social-melodrama Mehmoodabad Ki Malkain[2][3][4] and the family Ahmed Habib Ki Betiyan(both 2011)[1] and supporting roles in drama serials, the political-drama Mastana Mahi[1][5] and the family Meray Qatil Meray Dildar,[2] the later of which earned him nomination of Hum Award for Best Supporting Actress.[6]

In 2012, she played the titular character of Chandni in Express Entertainment's Chandni. The same year, she received praised for portraying Neeli in Fasih Bari Khan's Mohabbat Jaye Bhar Mein[1][3] alongside Adnan Siddiqui, Resham and Hina Dilpazeer.[3] Later that year, she also appeared as Esha in Meri Ladli, (alongwith Sami Khan, Ahsan Khan and Urwa Hocane) as Zoya in Faheem Burney's Sitamgar (alongwith Faisal Rehman, Azfar Rehman and Sunita Marshall) and as Shabnum in Syed Ahmed Kamran's Mere Khuwabon Ka Diya (alongwith Ushna Shah and Danish Taimoor).[1]

In next year, Sajal appeared in Haseeb Hassan's tragic-thriller Nanhi,[2][7] where she played Nanhi (a young girl who gets trafficked and takes care of young babies of her kidnapper nurse) receiving further praise.[8] The series itself was a critical and commercial success and Sajal was nominated for Lux Style Awards and Pakistan Media Awards.[8] She further receiveded praise in Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi's Gohar-e-Nayab where she portrayed the title role of Gori, a young orphaned girl who did not let to die his exceptional spirit despite mistreated. The series earned her Pakistan Media Award for Best TV Actress also. She also portrayed a young troubled child in Asim Raza's Behadd alongside Nadia Jamil and Fawad Khan.[5] The same year she also starred in, Aasmanon Pay Likha[1] and Kashif Nisar's directional Sannata, the first one of which turned out to be a biggest commercial hit of the year. She played the a victim of a split personality disorder in Sannata alongside Saba Qamar, Danish Taimoor and Samina Ahmed and reveived huge praise due to her performance.[9][1] The series also earned her nomination of Lux Style Awards for Best TV Actress.

In 2014, Sajal played the lead roles in Barkat Siddiqui's directional Qudrat,[1] Faiza Iftikhar written Kahani Raima Aur Manahil KiCite error: The <ref> tag has too many names (see the help page). and Waseem Abbas's directional Ladoon Mein Pali, receiving minor praise.[8] After starring in commercially average and critically flop shows, Sajal's carrer began to rise and later that year she played the lead roles in Yasir Nawaz's directional Chup Raho[3] and A-Plus TV's Mera Raqeeb and Chupke Se Bahar Aa Jaye,[1][10] the first one of which earned him critical praise, received mixed to negative reviews due to misleading depiction but her performance was acclaimed.[9][11] The serial also earned her nomination of Lux Style Award for Best TV Actress.

In 2015, She starred in Sabiha Sumar's directional Khuda Dekh Raha Hai in which she played the role of Zoya, who marries to a guy due to the pressure of his pious but dominant mother, extremist in her values. She appeared alongside Bushra Ansari, Agha Ali and Qazi Wajid and series earned her nomination of Lux Style Award for Best TV Actress. Khuda Dekh Raha Hai was Sajal's first critical success after Nanhi.[12][13][14] She again appeared in same year with Agha Ali in Kashif Nisar's directional Kis Se Kahoon,[1] where she portrayed a young college going confident girl, faces the hurdles bravely in college. The series was made in collaboration with CRS (Communications Research Strategies). Then, she appeared with Mikaal Zulfiqar in Siraj-ul-Haque's directional love-triangle themed Tum Mere Kya Ho[1][8] and with Feroze Khan in the romance Gul e Rana which was directed by Farooq Rind.[11] Gul e Rana despite criticism, received huge viewership like her previous collaboration with Khan, Chup Raho. Sajal's performance was praised in the serial[9][8] and also earned her Hum Award for Best Actress.

In the year 2016, she starred in two projects of Anjum Shahzad. In one of them, she collaborated with Faysal Quraishi titled Mera Yaar Miladay, where she played a rebellious girl who elopes from her house for her love.[8] The other was the big screen debut of her, Zindagi Kitni Haseen Hay, releationship-drama film in which she played the leading role of an aspiring actress.[15] The film earned Rs 20 crore on box office. The film earned him critical praise and several nominations including Lux Style Award for Best Film Actress.

In the following year, she made her Bollywood debut alongside Sridevi in Mom Sajal played the supporting role in the film, receiving minor praise.[8][16][3] The film itself earned ₹1175.9 crore.

After starring in commercially and critically average projects, Sajal returned to television. She made her television comeback by portraying a struggling, ambitious student and then doctor in Farhat Ishtiaq's Yaqeen Ka Safar[4] and an outspoken, rebellious girl who desires to become an actress in Kashif Nisar's directional O Rangreza.[3][4] Both of the serials turned out to be a critically and commercially blockbusters of the year[17] and earned him wide praise[9] and Hum Award for Best Actress and nominations of Lux Style Awards (one for each).[18]

In 2018, she starred in Sarmad Khoosat's Noor-ul-Ain alongwith Imran Abbas, Marina Khan and Irfan Khoosat.[19] The series turned out to be a disappointment and did not received well.[20] The following year, she signed two projects which later became most-anticipated serials of the season. She portrayed brave, rebellious and loving Chammi in Pre-partition play Aangan.[4][11] Despite huge star cast, engaging storyline and strong execution, the series turned out to be a disaster,[21] but her performance was highly praised.[9] A reviewer from the The News International reviewed, "Sajal Aly stole the limelight and overshadowed everyone and everything else surrounding the recently concluded play."[21]

She then starred in Haseeb Hassan's directional and Umera Ahmad's written, spiritual-modren Alif[4] where she portrayed a struggling film actress, followed by Ahson Talish's directional and Farhat Ishtiaq's written romantic-thriller Yeh Dil Mera, where she portrayed a university student, suffering from restlessness due to tragic turmoil in her past. Both of the serials received critical acclaim and earned him further praise.[22]

I want wikipedia to make some change in sajal aly's biography. Please add her recent drama like Sinf-e-ahan and her nominations in recent award shows. Also her awards won internationally like diafa and filmfareme also few awards are not mentioned which she has received in Pakistan only.
