Why two articles?

Do we really need two articles, one for each Shepherd's Bush station? Wouldn't it be less confusing if they could be different sections of the same article? After all, someone who doesn't know London very well isn't going to know in advance which article to they need to read to find out which station they need to know about. (If you see what I mean.) Having all the information in one place would make everything a lot simpler for them. P Ingerson 02:26, 19 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Potentially it might be less confusing. But historically, they are two separate stations, physically, they are two separate stations, and geographically, they are separate (by several hundred metres), even if they're close together. The logic for two articles is the same logic that means there should be two articles for Venice, Italy and Venice, Florida. They might be named the same, but they are totally different places. Plus, I did provide a disambiguation page, and the two articles are crosslinked... 82.69.90.223 20:37, 19 Dec 2004 (UTC)

new name?

"when it will reopen as Shepherd's Bush Green" - I can't find anything to suggest this on any tfl literature, likewise the projected 2010 tube map shows this station's name as simply 'Shepherd's Green' still. This is surprising as the same map does show the name change of the other SB tube station to SB Market. Grunners (talk) 16:01, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

I think i have heard it somewhere before but that was years ago. It seems to have evaporated. Simply south (talk) 19:09, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
I've slightly reworded the sentence until we know either way Grunners (talk) 21:42, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
The new station signs simply have the name Shepherd's Bush. There are signs at various points along the Central Line listing the station as Shepherd's Bush Green, but these all are old, bearing the old blue Docklands Light Railway logo for example. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.28.77.178 (talk) 00:09, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

The result of the proposal was move. JPG-GR (talk) 18:02, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

I have suggested that this page be moved to Shepherd's Bush tube station. This is becuase the station that also had this name, on the Hammersmith and City Line, has now been renamed to Shepherd's Bush Market. Therefore the disambiguation in the current page title is no longer required. Jorvik (talk) 19:30, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

Support provided disambiguation remains - Renaming the other Shepherd's Bush means this is now the primary article; however historically the name still applied to both, so disambiguation should still be provided. --Rogerb67 (talk) 22:25, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
Support, but as above, with small disambig line at beginning of article Grunners (talk) 12:09, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
Support, ambiguity resolved, finally! best, Sunil060902 (talk) 00:40, 13 October 2008 (UTC)

The word "tube"

Just a note - the word "tube" is never used by London Underground for station names, and "tube" only ever applies to the deep-level lines, not the cut-and-cover ones. So the H&CL station was NEVER called a "tube" station because it's not a "tube" line. Sorry for pedantry.  BRIANTIST  (talk) 07:13, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
