USEMP[edit]

I want to know why you don't want me to add usemp(Unofficial Sin Episodes Multiplayer) to the article. Its a mod that will deliver the multiplayer portion of Sin Episodes and I see nothing wrong with adding it to the article. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 168.209.97.34 (talkcontribs) 04:16, 5 July 2007.

First off, it contains the word "unofficial" in it. This article is about official info on SiN Episodes, and "unofficial" stuff ... well, for instance, if we were to mention every single Half-Life mod in the main Half-Life article, it'd be longer than the article itself. Also ... well, is it really that noteworthy? I mean, obviously, it is to you, but would it really help someone understand the main topic who's never heard about SiN Episodes before? —Yar Kramer 19:10, 5 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You are correct, but do I need to mention that it is in fact the only mod for SiN Episodes? It can work in both ways, since SiN Episodes website went down, not sure if temporary or permanent though, and also that they mention that work on SiN is being delayed indefinitely(meaning canceled to most people), the promised multiplayer portion will probably no longer be released, thats why I thought it should be mentioned in this article, that new players and a like, also can read up on info about the fact that a multiplayer portion is being developed by an third-party mod team, one of the members are also from the previous staff of Ritual itself. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 168.209.97.34 (talkcontribs) 07:17, 12 July 2007
Still, though! Significant compared to "other SiN Episodes mods", maybe, but again, (a) is it all that notable to begin with, and (b) would it really help someone understand SiN Episodes who's never heard about it before? —Yar Kramer 15:59, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Xbox 360[edit]

I'm getting tired of people removing Xbox 360 as a platform. Please view the very end of this video before making any future changes. If you can't view it, this is the quote:

We're really excited about things like [Xbox] 360 Marketplace...we fully expect a console SKU of SiN Episodes to show up in the near future. It's probably going to be Xbox 360...it's going to happen one way or another.

Are we really going to be picky enough to have "Unknown next-gen console" in the infobox? We might as well not list the date. --Tom Edwards 16:07, 11 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • I've seen the CES video, I've been following SiN development since the thing was announced. Even the latest interview at extreme players, they just mention talking to microsoft. It's not confirmed in the slightest, it's something that they're pushing for yes, but it's not like they've come out and said, "yes, console version is definite". I'd rather just wait until it is confirmed before putting it in the article. - Hahnchen 17:08, 11 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • And no, it would not have "Unknown nextgen console" on the infobox. It should just have PC, until they have something more solid announced. I reckon we will see SiN Episodes on the Xbox, but I don't think anything will be anounced until at least one or two episodes are released for the PC. - Hahnchen 17:13, 11 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
"It's going to happen one way or another"? --Tom Edwards 18:41, 11 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
But that's just an informal chat with Gamespot at CES. I reckon it'll appear on Xbox, but it's not official yet, I mean it's not mentioned on the SiN episodes official site nor the ritualistic one. - Hahnchen 19:38, 11 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know where you got informal from. He sat in front of a camera and gave an interview to one of the largest games sites around at a major trade expo. It doesn't get much more official than that! ;-) --Tom Edwards 08:52, 12 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'd rather remove references to the Xbox until Ritual do a press release on it, or at least mention it on their site. - Hahnchen 09:19, 12 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • It's been quite hilarious to watch the 360 get removed and replaced numerous times. I don't think it's been confirmed in the true sense yet though. It's just something they are extremely confident will surface. There have been plenty of other games that were announced on platforms that didn't make it out so I think leaving the 360 up is fine.--Nutcrackr 01:51, 13 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
This is retarded. The infobox isn't for what "may or probably will" happen, its for whats out right now. Even if they announced "Sin Episodes WILL be for the 360" we still shouldnt put it in the infobox. We should wait until it is out, and put a disclaimer in their that says it may come out for the 360. As it is now, we don't know if it will, we don't know what system it will be for, and we don't know when. So why on earth would we say "Its out for the 360 right now"?! Multiplayer[edit]

Will we be able to play online with other people in this game or is it just singleplayer?

Singleplayer at first, although coop and a multiplayer is planned.

Is there any precise date for the release of the Arena mode and MP? I heard that Arena mode is going to be released a couple of weeks after SinE:E, maybe a month, and MP would be released along with Episode 2? Is there anything more precise? How about the pricing? Will they both be free to SinE:E owners?

- Arena Mode was released as a free add-on for "SiN Episodes: Emergence" on June 26, 2006, and will be available out of the box for the German version, which will be released in Germany on July 20, 2006. Michael Russell (Ritual)66.180.121.115 19:30, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Added a couple of cultural references I heard in the game.--Mullon 00:17, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fanservice[edit]

Is it really necessary to use a picture of Elexis in a bikini? I'm honestly asking here. I mean, she delights in engaging in gratuitous sexiness (and she does "defeat" Blade using fanservice at the end of SiN 1), but ... as her "profile" picture? —Yar Kramer 22:00, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. I'd rather have a screenshot of this character when it first appears in the game. Yup, even there it appears that her clothing is a bit too tight. But at least that's the "real" character, while the bikini scenes are, AFAIR, drug-induced phantasies of the protagonist about Elexis.
Anyway, the bikini scene is about the closest it gets to fan service...so even in this respect the game seriously lacks... --80.134.9.169 14:34, 16 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:SiNE1 Bridge.jpg[edit]

Models for Sin Episode 1[edit]

I just noticed that the girls that modeled the characters in the game were not mentioned though it is all over the net. I figured you might want to add them in.

Bianca Beauchamp and Cindy Synett played Elexis Sinclaire and Jessica Cannon, respectively.

From the link you provided, Beauchamp and Synett were only hired for E3 2006. The faq makes no claim that either was used to model the characters themselves. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.64.53.50 (talk) 04:33, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox[edit]

In the Infobox, the "Platform(s)" field specifies "PC". I think that the "Platform(s)" field should specify a value or values from the " Supported platforms" section of the Vgclegend template. For example, if SiN Episodes only runs on MS-DOS, then SiN Episodes's Infobox should specify "DOS" in the "Platform(s)" field. ProResearcher (talk) 01:30, 17 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

SiN EpisodesSin Episodes – Per WP:MOSTM: "Follow standard English text formatting and capitalization rules, even if the trademark owner considers nonstandard formatting "official", as long as this is a style already in widespread use, rather than inventing a new one." • Oppose, as per WP:UCRN. See results of sin "Ritual Entertainment". MOS so much of the time is, IMO, unencyclopaedic nonsense that disrupts attempts to reflect the realities out there. GregKaye 18:46, 9 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
