Playing for England??[edit]

Is Jones really a welsh playing for england? The governing body is called the English and Wales Cricket Board, so I guess he plays for something like "England and Wales"? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.228.160.128 (talk) 19:26, 12 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No, the team is called "England". Incidentally, Kevin Pietersen was born in S. Africa and still plays for England, a team selected by representatives of the England and Wales Cricket Board. Confused? It gets worse: check out the story of Kepler Wessels or John Traicos perhaps. --Dweller (talk) 12:08, 13 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Wales isn't a real country so doesn't have a national team - unlike Scotland, Ireland and England which are real countries so do have a team. Welsh people are more than happy to support or play for England, because they know that a backwater like Wales couldn't run a piss-up in a brewery.... yet alone have an international cricket team. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.2.100.134 (talk) 09:54, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
