Article Splitting[edit]

This article mainly states about the Kings Island version of Rugrats Runaway Reptar. As an employee at Carowinds, I beleive that it would be reasonable to split this article into two seperate articles accessible from one disambiguation page. Please contact me if you have anything that would help this article. Brandon 23:47, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Yes, please do. And please rewrite so it is understandable. To retain the edit history for the GDL, move the article to one of the two names, probably Rugrats Runaway Reptar (Kings Island) Vegaswikian (talk) 08:15, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • No Split Unless there some notable differences between the 2 rides I will have to be against it. Both coasters share the same name and same layout. Sawblade05 (talk to me | my wiki life) 12:30, 25 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • No: As per Sawblade... unless there are significant differences between the Kings Island and Carowinds coasters. Non-ride-layout variations can be dealt with as subsections in an expanded article. As a counterexample, the 8 identical versions (alright, I admit 2 have alternate names and 2 are mirrored from the original layout) of Batman: The Ride are listed in the same article. Also, could those who know more about coasters than I do (I'm a former flat-ride operator), check Runaway Reptar Roller Coaster at Dreamworld in Australia and determine if it is another example of this design, in which case it should be merged in. -- saberwyn 23:52, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • No: Why split a stub article into two stub articles? Expand this one. Thegilmanator (talk) 15:38, 19 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merges[edit]

According to the Roller Coaster Database, there are seven appearances for this ride: three Reptars, 2 Swamp Things, and a Bat. (see list in article)

As these seven rides are identical (except for geographic location, themeing, and opening date) I feel that it would be best to contain all seven coasters in a single, comprehenisve article. Mergetags have been placed on the respecitve articles. -- saberwyn 02:19, 12 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Update: It appears the only other article is for Bat (Lagoon), which has significantly more detail on themeing and opening than any of the other park articles provide for their coaster. -- saberwyn 02:24, 12 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Yes. On one hand I would oppose merging the Bat into one article, mainly because I created the article. On the other hand one well written article that incorporated each of the roller coasters but had a section for each roller coaster would be fine with me. As Saberwyn has pointed out each of the coasters are identical except for location, themeing and opening date, and having one article would enable the readers to be able to compare each roller coaster easily. 1980s[edit]

Is this roller coaster like the The Bat which was built at Kings Island in 1981? Also is it like the Big Bad Wolf of Busch Gardens Williamsburg?
