Lyrics[edit]

According to this (pdf), Penn State owns the copyright to this song (the document is from 2002, so may not still be valid). As such, putting the lyrics here is a copyright violation. I removed them, however if someone can find proof that it is in the public domain it could easily remedy this situation. The original lyrics may be PD, the newly revised ones most likely not. Third Verse[edit]

Unless someone can cite a source that I am not aware of, the third verse that begins with Minnesota and Illinois does not exist. Accoridng to the Blue Band's official website (http://www.blueband.psu.edu/history/nittany_lion.php) the song has the introduction verse, the chorus, and then two verses only.--Msl5046 (talk) 12:37, 17 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"And women!"[edit]

I've removed these lines as they are at best violating WP:NOR and are unsourced negative claims:

Often when the students sing the song, the women follow the phrase molder of men by shouting AND WOMEN!. However, the men can often be heard shouting "JUST MEN" over the women's shouts.

The addition of "(and women)" exists on the Penn State Blue Band website here: [1] but this does not address the history of its addition nor various unofficial vocal additions made by students during a performance (e.g. "So true!" after "Loyal and true"). I'll try to get around to fixing that up, perhaps it could use a separate section. --Pusillanimous (talkcontribs) 14:36, 16 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
