Untitled[edit]

2 different articles state about this man : this one and an other one titled "Koca Yusuf". These articles should be merged.

Also, Paul Pons has written a book (in french) available on the FILA's website (public domain) in which an entire chapter talks about Yusuf Ismail. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.64.12.194 (talk) 12:44, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Terrible Turk?[edit]

Is this the guy who was known as Yussuuf the Terrible Turk or antoehr guy? SOmeone said that this is the incorrect guy. Sorry if I am confusing anyone here. (talk) 015:50, 8 January, 2020 (UTC)

Hello Wikipedians,

The following information is incorrect:

"In Paris he was defeated by the champion Cornish wrestler Tom Bragg, who fought under the name of Dan Lewis, the Strangler.[4] Bragg won with 2 backs in 3 minutes.[5]

The February 11th issue of The Cornishman Newspaper reports on page 7. that wrestler Tom Bragg has claimed to have wrestled the wrestler Yusuf İsmail nicknamed "Terrible Turk" in Paris under the ring name "Dan Lewis-the Strangler". It is not clear from the newspaper article that this fight took place. Source: britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk
