New GA, long enough, hook OK in length, qpq done, within policy. The hook is a bit grammatically awkward, the verb "set" appears to go to "with four trombones..." which puts a very long phrase between subject and verb. Also "on Luther's" is, I think, better phrased "based upon Luther's" and it would be "200-year old", not "200-years old" in this context. If you can tweak the grammar and tighten the structure of the hook, the rest is GTG. Montanabw(talk) 22:39, 21 October 2015 (UTC)

Trying the other way round. Help in wording that he used old motet style for setting the old hymn based on the Old Testament psalm welcome.
ALT1: ... that when Bach composed the chorale cantata Aus tiefer Not schrei ich zu dir, BWV 38, on Luther's 200-year old hymn based on psalm 130, he let four trombones, two oboes and strings all play with the voices? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:49, 21 October 2015 (UTC)
Much better! BUT 205 characters... maybe chop word "chorale" or perhaps "all" and something else... or chop "he let" and make "play" into "played" (thinking out loud). Whatever works. Montanabw(talk) 03:17, 22 October 2015 (UTC)
