  • Made a GA on June 22; more than long enough; looked into the bot's copyvio claim and it is not an issue; go with the original hook but reword it. See below for how I'm seeing that info presented in the article (do note that which ever hook is chosen, the character name should not be in quotes); QPQ didn't have to be done, but was anyways. Once the nominator addresses the hook change, this will be good to go. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 03:40, 27 June 2016 (UTC)
  • ALT3:. ... that Brad Kern created the character Billie Jenkins in order to satisfy the WB's condition to renew Charmed for its eighth and final season?.
  • Thank you for your review. I prefer your wording so I have struck my above hooks in favor of yours. Thank you again! Aoba47 (talk) 03:47, 27 June 2016 (UTC)
  • Thank you! Aoba47 (talk) 08:22, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
  • User:Favre1fan93: per Rule H2, you cannot approve your own hook. By changing the hook fact, you need to let someone else put the final approval on it.
  • I came by to promote this, but do not see ALT3 in the source. The source doesn't say anything about an "eighth and final season". I would have thought you would write something like:
  • ALT4: ... that Brad Kern created the characters of Billie Jenkins and Christy Jenkins in order to satisfy the WB's condition to renew Charmed for its eighth season? Yoninah (talk) 23:05, 5 July 2016 (UTC)
  • @Yoninah: Thank you. I agree with your change in the hook. I will make sure that this is changed in the actual article itself. I have struck out the older hook. I apologize for any inconvenience. Aoba47 (talk) 23:40, 5 July 2016 (UTC)
OK, calling on new reviewer to sign off on ALT4. Yoninah (talk) 23:42, 5 July 2016 (UTC)

@Yoninah: ALT4 is verified as in this source. Inline referenced correctly in article. Rest of the review per Favre1fan93.--Doug Coldwell (talk) 12:27, 6 July 2016 (UTC)

  • I have returned this from prep because the hook is sourced to a blog. Gatoclass (talk) 16:38, 10 July 2016 (UTC)
  • @Gatoclass: But the quote from the source was take directly from a interview with the executive producer of the show so I do not really understand why that cannot be used? If the source is not appropriate, then you can just remove this all together. Aoba47 (talk) 02:39, 12 July 2016 (UTC)
Aoba47, while I might normally have allowed this nomination through, there is a currently active administrator who is inclined to pull hooks from the main page if they don't like the sourcing. I'm sure you don't want to see your hook pulled from the main page, and it's certainly not something I like to see, so I pre-emptively removed this hook in hope you could supply the original source for the hook, or failing that, supply a new hook. Gatoclass (talk) 20:02, 13 July 2016 (UTC)
  • @Gatoclass: Thank you for your comments and I apologize for my rushed response and I hope I did not come across as rude or disrespectful. I completely agree, and I think vetting the hooks for any issues before placing them on the main paige is a great idea. I will supply a new hook below as soon as possible if that is okay with you. The original hook was supported through an executive producer's interview with a fan-site for show so it would not be appropriate. I apologize any for any inconvenience and misunderstanding on my part. Aoba47 (talk) 21:03, 13 July 2016 (UTC)
  • ALT5: ...that Brad Kern created the character Billie Jenkins to "lighten the load, screen-time wise" for Charmed 's three principal actors and "bring new blood to an aging show"?
  • This new hook is verified in this source. Thank you again for your help! Please let me know if there is anything else that needs to be changed or clarified. Aoba47 (talk) 21:15, 13 July 2016 (UTC)
Aoba47, the new hook looks acceptable, but I'm thinking it's a little wordy, how would you feel about shortening it to just the latter quote? Gatoclass (talk) 02:58, 15 July 2016 (UTC)
@Gatoclass: That definitely works with me. I didn't realize how long it was until after I saved the page. I have struck out the previous longer form and placed the new, shortened hook below for your convenience. Thank you again for your help and feedback.
ALT6:...that Brad Kern created the character Billie Jenkins to "lighten the load, screen-time wise" for Charmed 's three principal actors? Aoba47 (talk) 03:26, 15 July 2016 (UTC)
@Gatoclass: Any updates? Aoba47 (talk) 07:30, 19 July 2016 (UTC)
Sorry about the delay in response, Aoba47, I haven't been very active here for some days. Your revised hook looks fine, but I couldn't confirm it from the source supplied in the article. Gatoclass (talk) 03:48, 21 July 2016 (UTC)
@Gatoclass: No worries, I am pretty busy myself so I definitely know that feeling. And that is odd, I opened the link I supplied above, and I can find the quoted material ("lighten the load, screen-time wise") directly in the article. It is directly next to photo of Kaley Cuoco wearing a black wig and outfit in the section titled "Enter Billie". I am not entirely certainly where the problem is there.
Now you really have me scratching my head, Aoba47. I can't see any section entitled "Enter Billie". But regardless, the cite has to be directly after the hook statement in the article, and when I did a search for the quote "lighten the load", the source which follows does not contain the quote. Gatoclass (talk) 14:37, 22 July 2016 (UTC)
@Aoba47 and Gatoclass: The link used for the hook in the article was sort of correct. The cited content was in the image gallery at the bottom of the article previously linked to. I've fixed the sourcing issue here, in hopes that this DYK can get its pass. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 15:34, 22 July 2016 (UTC)
Thank you for your help, Favre1fan93! I used the prior link as I thought I had to link to the main article and was not sure if I could link directly to the image gallery. Hopefully, this solves it. Aoba47 (talk) 16:30, 22 July 2016 (UTC)
