Game larder[edit]

Game larder at Uppark, West Sussex, designed by Humphry Repton

  • ... that Humphry Repton's game larder (pictured) at Uppark, described as "a mannered grotesque advertisement for the pleasures of the chase and the table", is decorated with deer vertebrae?

  • Reviewed: To come
  • Comment: I prefer the composite version, but two shorter alternatives are offered if this is deemed too long.

  • @Espresso Addict: This well-written article is new enough and long enough. The hook facts have an inline citation to a book source and are accepted in good faith. Any of the hooks could be used. The image is appropriately licensed but looks better enlarged than it does at thumbnail size. The article is neutral and I detected no copyright issues, so we are just waiting for the QPQ to be done. • Nothing has happened on this for a while now, and while I appreciate the nominator has not edited for a couple of weeks, they had time before that to complete a review. Harrias talk 09:54, 24 May 2015 (UTC)
