Tivoli Theatre (Chattanooga, Tennessee)[edit]

Article is new enough and long enough and amply supported by reference citations (after I inserted a couple of additional footnotes). Hook fact is interesting, supported by a cited source, and verified in that source. No QPQ is required. However, I found a lot of close paraphrasing of the Zietz source and the Chattanooga Symphony and Opera source. Just one example of the problems I found:
- "In addition to a complete cosmetic overhaul, the Tivoli's technical improvements included new dressing rooms to accommodate up to 70 performers, new state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems, a hydraulic lift orchestra pit, and new "green room" and rehearsal facilities. Stage depth was increased by over 14 feet to meet the requirements of today's concerts and theatrical tours." (Source)

- I forgot to say that the hook wording is less than ideal. I recommend the following revised wording (same hook, different words):

- Please see Talk:Tivoli Theatre. Also, the article's history page indicates edits were made by the nominator. Nobody seems to be communicating it on this template, but there's been activity. Maile66 (talk) 12:23, 19 August 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, but it's not clear that the action in the article has been aimed at solving the problems discussed here. The nominator made some edits, but did not really address the issues. A couple of chunks of content copied from one source were excised from the article by a different user, probably due to the "close paraphrasing" template I had placed there (the person who did the removals apparently was not looking at the DYK nomination). The content removals fixed most of the copyvio issue (although there is still some close paraphrasing of Zietz), but they also undermined the hook. The article still contains the "one of the first air-conditioned buildings" boast, with a source but no context. The removed content included the fact that air-conditioning was installed in 1926 (it wasn't part of the original building in 1921). After my review here, the article creator contacted me about his fear that the article would be deleted due to copyvio concerns, but has not acted to address the concerns. --Orlady (talk) 13:54, 19 August 2012 (UTC)
