My best may not be enough, but it's my best.

Who am I?[edit]

Too many people come to Wikipedia for the sole purpose of pushing a certain point of view. It's about time we started doing research and collecting reliable sources for controversial subjects.

My userpage has been vandalized a dozen times. I've also been personally insulted quite a bit, stalked by multiple users, virtually assaulted by sockpuppets and falsely reported for supposedly violating guidelines on many occasions. I suppose it's part of the territory when editing neglected articles about religion. While I am not an expert on Islam-related topics, I am a hobbyist and know misinformation and POV-pushing when I see it.

From another angle, I am actually a subject matter expert on topics related to technical writing, technical translation and general topics related to technical documentation. Performing good edits in this area is actually more difficult than doing so for the aforementioned topic; engineers and technical communicators tend to take their documentation for granted. Consequently, such documentation is widely used yet rarely studied as is the case with other forms of documentation; this results in a lack of reliable sources with which to build articles. I hope my efforts can help change that.

For your viewing pleasure: Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/MezzoMezzo/Archive. I wear it as a badge of honor.

Barnstar[edit]

I probably don't deserve these, but regardless I am flattered.

From what I have seen, you are a refreshingly good-natured and friendly editor on what is a contentious space, and a model of civility that myself and others can only hope to benefit learning from. ITAQALLAH 16:04, 13 June 2007 (UTC)

Thank you very much for your seemingly endless patience with the troublesome Barelvi / Deobandii debate. I admire your patience, energy, tenacity and fairness. Most other editors would have given up. Best wishes, George Custer's Sabre (talk) 06:25, 23 April 2013 (UTC)

Dobos cake (Gerbeaud Confectionery Budapest Hungary).jpg 7&6=thirteen () has given you a Dobos Torte to enjoy! Seven layers of fun because you deserve it.

To give a Dobos Torte and spread the WikiLove, just place {{subst:Dobos Torte}} on someone else's talkpage, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past or a good friend. 7&6=thirteen () 12:53, 8 April 2014 (UTC)

Animal species which I have eaten[edit]

No, this section isn't a joke. I am fond of exotic food, and whenever I travel I prioritize eating at the strangest, most unique restaurants I can find. That's far more important to me than museums (which I still love) or tourist traps.

I've eaten run of the mill beef, goat, lamb, chicken, duck, quail, salmon, tuna and so forth, so I'm just mentioning the more unique dishes above.
