Burns Strider (born January 3, 1966) is a political consultant from Grenada, Mississippi, and former Senior Advisor to presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. He is a co-founder and principal at The Eleison Group and the American Values Network. He has been nicknamed the "faith and values guru."[1]

Strider first worked for then-Congressman Mike Espy (D-MS) and then-Senator Al Gore (D-TN). He also served as a speechwriter to Mississippi Secretary of State Dick Molpus. He then served three years as a minister at International Baptist Church in Hong Kong.

Strider has worked as Senior Advisor and Director of Faith Outreach to Hillary Clinton during her Presidential Campaign. Strider has also been an advisor to U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the Director of Policy for the U.S. House Democratic Caucus, the Director of the U.S. House Democratic Faith Working Group and Rural Working Group, the regional Communications Director for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, and Chief of Staff to U.S. Congressman Ronnie Shows. Strider has been named by Religion News Service as one of the 12 most influential Democrats in the nation on faith/values issues and politics. Strider has worked on over 100 campaigns, directed 20 of them, and developed a communications plan that was implemented in 60 different races.

He has also been a commentator for National Public Radio and has lectured at various universities and workshops around the nation including Princeton, Harvard, Trinity College, University of Virginia, Ole Miss, Georgetown, Democratic National Convention, and Young Democrats of America training among others.
