New Montréal is a digital, theoretical and real-world concept born on Good Friday, 2006 Anno Domini. For some, this day is historically significant because it marks the end of one era and the beginning of another.

Core Beliefs

While not necessarily a separatist movement (as much as a complete takeover), the daughters and sons of New Montréal, who have spent more than 400 years learning and studying from the strength of Philadelphians, the courage of the Mohawk, the eloquence of the word of God (Allah/Buddha) and the freedom of Venus to create a new destination of peace. A global city free from abuse, free from terror and free from pain.

War On Terror

While the war on those whom cause harm to others has always existed, the establishment of New Montréal is seen to represent a slight update to the programming code that dictates such things. The establishment and discovery of the Tschernobyl Theory and the possible staged poisoning of the President of Ukraine as an explanation behind the attacks of 9/11 indicate that while some have claimed the Cold War to have ended, the mechanisms that have always controlled and dictated the art and necessity of war have indeed been restructured. To some, New Montréal can be seen as a neutral locale. To others, the sheer volume and movement of international capital shifting to the city indicates a new chapter in the design and implementation of the wars of the future.

War On Spiritual Abuse and Laughter

The war on spiritual abuse, which is at root a centuries old conflict between religions, is of great concern in New Montreal. Long a stronghold for great Western belief systems of peace and unity, the city is enjoying a spiritual renessaince, in part thanks to the recent establishment of an an unauthorized chapter of the Opus Dei Security Service. One of the first observations of the New Montreal chapter concerns the subcontinent of India - long regarded as a nation of peace.

While Montreal has been the worldwide home of cutting-edge performance arts for years (headquarters of the Just For Laughs festival and the Cirque Du Soleil), India has recently launched a direct attack against the global heroes of the cirque and comedy by seeking to use laughter as a way to harm others. The establishment and spread of so-called laughter clubs^[1] - the purpose of which is provoke and stimulate unnatural laughter responses from the human body (i.e. instructing groups of people to laugh without stimulation) - is a direct declaration of war on those who use traditional performance arts to stimulate the human body. The development of laughter as a sonic weapon to distract others is an incredibly bold psychological weapon because it seeks to control through auditory tones, as well as create a system of paranoia concerning the pursuit of those who laugh. How do you prosecute someone for laughing?

New Media

Coinciding with the rise of the global new media empire that emerged on Easter Monday, 2006, The Hollywood film industry and the New York press had little to say publicly about the relocation of assets, talent and intelligence to the city. Whether it be a sheepish misunderstanding of the unity, love and respect that drives the city, or a complete failure by entrenched media icons to accept and celebrate the birth of new technology, the city of New Montreal is poised to accept its title as the most important global urban destination for peace through technology.

Rumors of a New Montreal-only version of CNN coming to the city are misunderstood. The hacking and hijacking of audio frequencies and Internet streams is a technique still relatively new to law enforcement agencies.

Legal System, Art & Technology

With the New Montreal police introducing a revolutionary new focus on freedom-from-surveillance using unobtrusive methods of harm reduction and intervention, the city is able to publicly celebrate its reputation as the city that ended the war on terror and the beginning of its reign as the global capital of planet Earth.

A new program in digital arts, initiated at Concordia University, is attracting students interested in the merging of the core elements of the New Montreal design aesthetic. The race to study the blending of stone, steel, glass and liquid-crystal in order to create a real virtual city, one free from visual and aural pollution, continues daily in the city.

Health System & Population

Immigration Quebec and the health system of New Montreal are preparing for a mass influx of population in the city now that the known longterm health damage caused to citizens of Eastern Europe after Chernobyl is feared in the 9/11-affected areas in the tri-cities region of the U.S. Northeast. While rumors of a "No One Is Illegal" style immigration policy have been augmented by the different legal and illegal new accommodation facilities, one can expect the mass population increase to cause stress upon the aging transport systems.

Sex & Romance

New standards in travel & tourism set by leading service providers such as Hostelling International, Coca-Cola and l'Agence France-Presse, have helped New Montreal earn it's reputation as the "city that sex built."

While some suspect the citizens of New Montreal having taken over most aspects of the adult entertainment industry, the populace and government have developed a new focus on solidifying the city as a place for the worldwide education and exploration of new concepts in the erotic arts, gaming and entertainment industries.
