Dulverton[edit]
Hi Peter, Thanks for your message. The population of Dulverton in the 2011 census was 1,408 - you can get the Somerset parish stats from the spreadhsheet here. Can you say where you are getting your figure of 4,500 for 1961 from. According to A vision of Britain through time it was 1,393, with fairly consistent figures between 1801 & 1961 between 1 and 2 thousand. The peak I can see was 1,526 in 1911. One possible explanation is the difference between the Dulverton Rural District (which existed between 1894 and 1974) and had a population between 4 and 5,000 and the civil parish for which figures are given in the article.— Rod talk 21:11, 15 November 2014 (UTC)
