August 2014[edit]

  • Thank you so much! Just realized that you have been working on a Wikipedia page about my father Jan Więckowski. Can't tell you how moved my mom and I are. Thank you for your work on this project! Agwieckowski (talk) 23:54, 5 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
    • It's a pleasure to see people actually read the articles one writes, especially when it's the family of the individual. I've essentially translated the Polish wiki page on your father to English. If you have anything that you would like to share, feel free to add (or if something is incorrect on the Wiki, feel free to correct it). Information that can be cited and will increase the reputability of the page is especially welcome. Good luck, and thank you for the support! Adamstasz (talk) 17:35, 12 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

July 2014[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Juliusz Łukasiewicz may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • '''Juliusz Łukasiewicz''' ({{IPA-pl|ˈjuljuʂ wukaˈɕɛvʲit͡ʂ}}; (May 6, 1892 - April 6,1951) was a Polish diplomat, an ambassador

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 18:45, 14 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Featuring your work on Wikipedia's front page: DYKs[edit]

Thank you for your recent articles, including Jan Więckowski, which I read with interest. When you create an extensive and well referenced article, you may want to have it featured on Wikipedia's main page in the Did You Know section. Articles included there will be read by thousands of our viewers. To do so, add your article to the list at T:TDYK. Let me know if you need help, Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 07:36, 5 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thank you for the support and the information. I will keep this in mind for future articles. Pozdrawiam. Adamstasz (talk) 17:39, 12 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject assessment tags for talk pages[edit]

Thank you for your recent articles, including Jan Więckowski, which I read with interest. When you create a new article, can you add the WikiProject assessment templates to the talk of that article? See the talk page of the article I mentioned for an example of what I mean. Usually it is very simple, you just add something like {{WikiProject Keyword}} to the article's talk, with keyword replaced by the associated WikiProject (ex. if it's a biography article, you would use WikiProject Biography; if it's a United States article, you would use WikiProject United States, and so on). You do not have to rate the article if you do not want to, others will do it eventually. Those templates are very useful, as they bring the articles to a WikiProject attention, and allow them to start tracking the articles through Wikipedia:Article alerts and other tools. For example, WikiProject Poland relies on such templates to generate listings such as Article Alerts, Popular Pages, Quality and Importance Matrix and the Cleanup Listing. Thanks to them, WikiProject members are more easily able to defend your work from deletion, or simply help try to improve it further. Feel free to ask me any questions if you'd like more information about using those talk page templates. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 07:36, 5 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Helpful information, thank you.  Done Adamstasz (talk) 17:40, 12 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Tadeusz Anders for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Tadeusz Anders is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tadeusz Anders until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Gbawden (talk) 08:34, 14 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Useful categories[edit]

See [1]. All awards should have associated categories, and adding them to the article reduces the risk of deletion. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 12:14, 18 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
