Sock?[edit]

At first glance, your edits suggest that you are a sock puppet of blocked user Generalsoft (talk · contribs · logs). But then I see one edit from 2008. Can I take it that you created the Generalsoft account to promote Haris Rashid, then when that account was blocked, you remembered that you already had another account. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 06:17, 23 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the message. I used http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lall_Sawh page as a template to build Dr. Haris' page. To the best of my judgement, Dr. Haris and Dr. Sawh have parrallel achievements. Dr. Haris' achivements probably weigh more because his potential beneficiaries will come from a pool of 180 million people, as opposed to Dr. Sawh's 38 million. My only connection with Dr. Haris is that my mother has become his patient. (Note: his fame preceded my introduction to him). I've been attending my mother who is suffering from "acute necrotizing pancreatitis" and I am her 24x7 attended at the hospital. She is between life and death, and to free my mind, I contribute to Wikipedia, these days. I am an eye-witness to Dr. Rashid's stature in Pakistan. I've not mentioned in wikipage some of his other achievements, such as selection in Quincenturians of EAES as I need to investigate these achievements a little bit more. I've no personal gain or motive in creating this page, other than to report what I see/know, and perhaps a bit of nationalistic pride. Anasim (talk) 17:34, 23 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Notes on Haris Rashid[edit]

Heya. Thought I'd poke in here.

First, that's not a bad idea on Haris Rashid's article - basically using Dr. Sawh's page as a template. However, we need to polish it up. First, as far as the AFD goes, please make note of the content over at this page - the defense you gave notes that he was the first to do this nature of surgery in a country of 180 million. An admirable feat unto itself, but not unto itself notable. My argument over on the page does give more information on the take. In Dr. Rashid's case, if this article should survive, you should take a look at our verifiability guidelines, notability guidelines, and in this case, WP:BIO, WP:BLP, and WP:BIO1E. I understand it's a lot, but these will give some great pointers on where to go with this if possible. --Dennis The Tiger (Rawr and stuff) 21:52, 23 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thanks for the message. Apperciate the information! I'm trying to defend the existence of the wiki on WP:N and WP:V. Hopefully, once it is confirmed, I plan to concentrate on the issues pointed out in your message, though, I might need to work on these issues now, anyway, to defend the wiki in the first place.

However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. License tagging for File:Bolta-Pakistan October 2010.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Bolta-Pakistan October 2010.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 11:07, 6 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
