Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Anietta, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as *Dr. Robert Stemmer*, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may not be retained.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{help me}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on *Dr. Robert Stemmer* requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.stemmerlibrary.com/en/who-was-dr-robert-stemmer. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Copyright, conflict of interest and general advice

"the website Stemmerlibary.com belongs to us (SIGVARIS MANAGEMENT AG) and we would like to share some content con Phlebology and Venous disorders".

Wikipedia cannot accept copyright material on the basis that someone on the end of a wire says that it is OK. Release under Wikipediaa's CC-BY-SA license allows any reader to copy, modify and re-use material for any purpose including commercial; and it essential that the actual copyright holder understands and agrees to that. See Wikipedia:Copyrights#Contributors' rights and obligations. For that reason a formal copyright release, as described in WP:Donating copyrighted materials, is essential.

Simply copying in material written for other purposes is not likely to make a satisfactory encyclopedia article. Such material is often written in a promotional tone, whereas Wikipedia requires a WP:Neutral point of view; and the inclusion criterion known as Wikipedia:Notability requires references showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject."

You evidently work for Sigvaris, and therefore, before making any edits concerning their field of activity you should read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest and the Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide. Wikipedia is not to be used for advertising or promotion of any kind, and is extremely resistant to attempts to do that.

The links in the Welcome message above will tell you more about Wikipedia; you should also read:

I am sorry to give you so much reading, but one more page is important: Wikipedia:BOLD, revert, discuss cycle describes how Wikipedia should work. In brief, if you think a change would improve the encyclopedia, be BOLD and make it; but if it is reverted, do not just rpeat it (which could lead to edit-warring; instead, discuss it on the article talk page and try to reach WP:Consensus with other users. If you cannot reach consensus, there are WP:Dispute resolution processes available. In any such discussion, you should be careful to declare your interest as a Sigvaris employee.

  • I have also deleted your sandbox for the same copyright reason. For legal reasons Wikipedia cannot host copyright material anywhere, not even in user pages or sandboxes. JohnCD (talk) 14:01, 22 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
