Placenames[edit]

Information icon Please stop changing the names of places in our articles, to different names to those used as our article titles, as you did at Hoshangabad district and Hoshangabad. We use the Common names in English for our articles, not the "Official names", so changing the name breaks internal links to those articles, and is confusing to our readers - thank you - Arjayay (talk) 12:50, 30 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

June 2023[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Starkex. I wanted to let you know that some of your recent contributions to Bhagwa Love Trap have been reverted or removed because they seem to be defamatory or libellous. Take a look at our welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. (Please proceed to contentious topics with caution, your edits have been reverted because they were found to be biased and one-sides avoid making generalizations in future.) ⭐️ Starkex ⭐️ 📧 ✍️ 08:14, 7 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

How come Love jihad which is a reality in front of our eyes with cases of love jihad cases coming to light every month is labelled as conspiracy theory but alleged Bhagwa Love trap that literally don't exist (talking on stats and not assumption) becomes a reality. Information icon Hello, I'm JimRenge. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Religion in Nepal, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. JimRenge (talk) 21:51, 22 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello I missed to add citation because I thought it was not needed.From now on I will take care that I add a citation whenever making an edit.Thank you. Ashutoshraj kashyap (talk) 19:18, 28 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction to contentious topics[edit]

You have recently edited a page related to India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, a topic designated as contentious. This standard message is designed as an introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially-designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

It should be easy to get unblocked[edit]

All you have to do is reply to the messages from @Starkex, JimRenge, and Arjayay: and then appeal your block as instructed above. Doug Weller talk 08:29, 28 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@DougWeller: Before they are potentially unblocked, I would like to see Ashusoshraj explain the following edits:
  1. The deletion of Hindu in this edit to Sati (practice)
  2. This edit, including the change in the sourced content, and particularly the changes in the direct quotes
  3. The deletion of sourced content in this edit (set aside the parts they added and even the shift in the qualifier "allegedly")
  4. The change in source-quotes in this edit.
I wouldn't be comfortable with an unblock unless the editor can cogently explain why these edits are justified, or at least point out what problems they (now) see with these edits and why they won't recur if they are unblocked. Abecedare (talk) 21:52, 28 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Abecedare I agree and add these to the conditions. Doug Weller talk 06:03, 29 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
