Your recent edits[edit]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 02:25, 10 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestion[edit]

In my experience here blanking your talk page at intervals does not make you appear to be a very productive editor. You would be better off learning how to archive your talk page instead. Use this link to find out how. Britmax (talk) 08:31, 10 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Very true. It gives the appearance of being deceptive and uncollaborative, although nothing is truly secret here. Archiving is the preferred method. -- Brangifer (talk) 09:25, 10 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

the block was 7 years ago, people, including myself grow up a lot during so many years and learn more about how WP works. Blueyefinity (talk) 18:46, 29 December 2020 (UTC)

With the consent of the blocking admin, and based on your understanding, I am happy to lift your block. Yamla (talk) 12:17, 2 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

In order to lift the block, we need to be certain that you understand how copyright works on Wikipedia. To allow the reviewing administrator to assess your understanding, please respond to the following questions in your next unblock appeal, explaining in your own words:

  • What is copyright?
A property right (intellectual property) which gives a person/company ownership over the things they create.
  • How is Wikipedia licenced?
Wikipedia is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License (CC BY-SA) and the GNU Free Documentation License
  • Why is copyrighted content not allowed on Wikipedia?
Because content is copyrighted for a pecuniary purpose, while Wikipedia is a non-profit organization therefore can't access funds to pay for copyrights.
  • Under what circumstances can we use copyrighted content?
Use of copyrighted material should be minimal and confined history, identifying copyrighted works, or to complement articles about copyrighted works, and ONLY when all 10 criteria (as shown on WP:FAIRUSE) of the policy for using non-free content are met. Blueyefinity (talk) 22:54, 29 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • How do you intend to avoid violating the copyright policy in the future?
Making sure the content I'll contribute with is free of copyright, or respects the non-free content policy for use. Blueyefinity (talk) 22:26, 29 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your answers will enable us to establish whether or not you should be unblocked. Yamla (talk) 21:48, 29 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This is close. However, I'd like you to reread WP:FAIRUSE. The problem is, any content on Wikipedia can be copied, even for commercial use, so we can't just claim "research and teaching" as fair-use exemptions. You are close, though. I'd like you to change your answer to that question and if your answer is good, I'll be happy make the case with the blocking admin that you should be unblocked. --Yamla (talk) 22:31, 29 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history at Chemtrail conspiracy theory shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. You have been blocked indefinitely from editing certain pages (Chemtrail conspiracy theory) for edit warring.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Mifter (talk) 04:36, 27 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
