Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Westminster, Massachusetts do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 01:21, 7 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Gardner, Massachusetts. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 01:27, 7 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Gardner, Massachusetts. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. This account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because your username, CMGrapevine, does not meet our username policy.

Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below).

A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive, or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account.

Please choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines. However, do not create a new account if you wish to credit your existing contributions to a new name through a username change. To request a username change:

  1. Add {{unblock-un|your new username here}} on your user talk page. You should be able to edit this talk page even though you are blocked. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a list of names that have already been taken. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.

If you feel that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. ... discospinster talk 01:40, 7 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I apologize for the confusion I may have caused buy adding my external links to multiple towns in the Central Massachusetts area in the Wikipedia. I operate a local community network that is 100% free to the public that is an online community newspaper for our local towns in which I would like to post in either the media section or external links.

Decline reason:

That is precisely why you have been blocked: you are attempting to insert links to spam your community newspaper, and the account uses the name of said newspaper. —C.Fred (talk) 02:28, 7 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

{{unblock|Again, I apologize for the disruption. I understand that my input was considered spam and that I need to change my username as well. I will change my user name to CMR88 thank you for your help.}}

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

Allowing username change to CMR88 (talk · contribs). Please put this request in at Wikipedia:Changing username as soon as possible to avoid re-blocking.

Request handled by:C.Fred (talk)

Unblocking administrator: Please check for active autoblocks on this user after accepting the unblock request.

Additionally, after you change your name, please make contributions to the encyclopedia other than adding links to your website. Continuing to blatantly advertise your site may result in your account being reblocked. —C.Fred (talk) 13:52, 7 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
