If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Mike Fulton Charlie requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. RubinkumarTalk 18:39, 11 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, Commodore4eva. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Mike Fulton Charlie, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. AllyD (talk) 19:59, 11 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended for publicity and/or promotional purposes. If you intend to edit constructively in other topic areas, you may be granted the right to continue under a change of username. Please read the following carefully.
Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, website or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but such groups are generally discouraged from using Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not, although if you can demonstrate a pattern of future editing in strict accordance with our neutral point of view policy, you may be granted this right. See Wikipedia's FAQ for Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, organization, or clients. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit Wikipedia again.

What can I do now?

If you have no interest in writing about some other topic than your organization, group, company, or product, you may consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

If you do intend to make useful contributions here about some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on your user talk page.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
    • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
    • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Bbb23 (talk) 20:07, 11 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

It was said that I was promoting an organization or person but if the page was correctly read what was written did not depict any promotion of any organization or person, what was depicted was information gathered on Mike Fulton Charlie as it was the job given to me, nothing written was out of context or promotional and the page was only recently constructed 30 minutes before the deletion, that is an inadequate amount of time togather a large amount of information and convert it into text that follows the guidelines of Wikipedia, the page that was going to be created was going to depict the life and successfulness of Mike Fulton Charlie. He has done many great deeds for the United States of America and Charlottesville, Virginia and I do believe he is significant enough to have a page.I may be Commodore Dynamics PR Representative, but that doesn't mean I'm close to him or that I won't have full level headedness depicting his character and achievements, I'm only transcribing the information that has been given to me with accurate resources and if anything does not have a resource or information pertaining to its origins it will not be written since it cannot be proven

Decline reason:

Sorry. Wikipedia is not a publicity platform; you'll need to promote your client's work elsewhere. --jpgordon::==( o ) 21:40, 11 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

OK. You say "Charlie is also the lead graphic designer, videography editor, and computer specialist" - how many other people do work there? Also, at 19, how many great deeds has he done for the USA? I can't seem to find very much on Google about him or the company, and what I find is hardly WP:RS reliable independent sources. (A lot of the hits for Commodore Dynamics refer to somewhere around 1991 and don't seem relevant). I haven't found the company website or what they actually do, either. Peridon (talk) 21:06, 11 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I think the closest site you'll find is this site where Charlie is trying to sell his designs. I don't believe that Commodore Graphic Design (or Designs) or Commodore Dynamics has a website. Whether they exist as legal entities somewhere in the U.S. I have no idea.--Bbb23 (talk) 21:33, 11 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Around the office we have roughly 10 to 15 people working on various projects but we subcontract many other people to help with projects. From the information that was gathered, Charlie has been enlisted and served the United States of America through the Department of Military Affairs and other government agencies since early 2011, and has helped with reconstruction, humanitarian operations and other military operations here in central Virginia and surrounding states. Charlie also has personally took on company projects retaining to the CVB in West Virginia and the CVB Commonwealth of Virginia pertaining to boosting tourism and streamlining the local economy. Charlie's personal artwork has been on display in local Charlottesville downtown art galleries and art shows and early next year Charlie will be publicly speaking at a SBA convention here in Charlottesville, Virginia. Regarding the website I've spoken to some website admin's and they stated the website should be relaunched early this week and it was taken down recently for maintenance purposes. I propose that till the Wikipedia page is fully constructed it should stay either sandboxed or constructed on an outside source till completion so there will be no further issues of deletion and regarding the references we will be collaborating with different news websites, information websites and other entities to make sure the information that is displayed is readily available for public consumption, I understand Wikipedia is not a place for promotion "which I was not doing" and I do understand the admin's are only doing what's necessary to keep this site clean. Commodore4eva (talk) 21:41, 11 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

No, you don't collaborate with anyone to make sure the things are referenced. The references have to be totally independent, and you can't use 'interviews' that consist of the CEO talking at someone (or reciting what PR have told him to say - I've seen a lot of that before now...). I would suggest you find the references before you do anything else. You can post them here and I at least will see them as I've put this page on my watchlist. Probably Bbb23 will too. If you don't have refs that pass WP:RS, there's no point doing anything else. It's not only the promotion - it's the notability that must be there. So far, I can see little, either from the article or from Google. Peridon (talk) 21:51, 11 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Commodore Dynamics uses design crowd as a means to safely conduct business and gather clientele. The artwork is not being sold on a per design basis, it is per clientele as ordered and all of the designs depicted on the website or page was created for various companies or clientele and only they have access to the finish projects after payment is made through the site, that page is his personal company page on design crowd since he oversees most of the graphic design projects done through us. Some of the other artists employed with Commodore Dynamics also have design crowd accounts but those accounts are not connected at a business level to Commodore Dynamics. There is no law or regulation stating that we cannot collaborate with outside agencies to make sure the information that they have on their website is accurate and not slander, we will not be telling them what to say and we will allow them to speak the truth, also collaborating with other websites for outside sources is essential especially when the information we are referring to is not digital it is on paper or it is a physical copy whether it be a video or audio and it is their legal duty to have it properly hosted and available for public use. Commodore4eva (talk) 22:00, 11 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I think we're talking at cross purposes here. The clients can't provide notability. The references to show notability should be independent - not connected to your company or your clients. Peridon (talk) 22:09, 11 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Rereading what you stated we will definitely make sure to have all of the interviews or information regarding what was said during the interviews taken down and only have a descriptive paragraph detailing why the interview took place with reference links to those interviews for further information on them and I will definitely keep out any information that he states at a personal level since to conform with Wikipedia guidelines regarding it. Also I think we got off on the wrong foot I'll make sure no information pertaining to clientele is listed and anything notable is independent and is not connected to us as clientele to facilitate integrity. Commodore4eva (talk) 22:19, 11 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Now may I be unbanned so I can start work on the page in sandbox mode? Since we seemed to resolve the issue that we had with the page and you're free to keep up-to-date with the page as you see fit as it's under construction, I'll make sure to run all information that requires references through admin's with links to the necessary references so there will be no more incidences like this happening especially since I have to make a separate page for Commodore Dynamics. Commodore4eva (talk) 22:53, 11 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Currently, this is the only page you can edit. (BTW you are not banned, you are blocked. Not the same thing. A ban has to go to an open discussion.) You won't get an article for anything unless you have the references to prove notability. Not every business gets an article. This isn't a directory like AboutUs. Put some references here. If they're not available for us to check, they fail verifiability WP:V and can't be used. I've not seen anything on Google that I consider a reliable independent source for the CEO or the business.
