Welcome![edit]

Hello, David E Neville, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits to the page Clyde Cessna have not conformed to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and has been or will be removed. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or in other media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles. Additionally, all new biographies of living people must contain at least one reliable source.

August 2017[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm TJRC. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Alan Bean, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. TJRC (talk) 20:21, 7 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Doniago. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to the main body of Ken Mattingly. Generally, any relevant external links should be listed in an "External links" section at the end of the article and meet the external links guidelines. Links within the body of an article should be internal Wikilinks. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, David E Neville. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article San Diego Air & Space Museum, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Your edit history seems to consist of nothing but edits promoting this Museum; and you're an inexperienced enough editor that you're doing them all wrong and forcing other editors to clean up the mess you create.

Please make sure you understand 1) how to reference, including making sure that the references you add actually support the text you add; don't put in some non-specvifi unverifiable text referring to the museum as a whole; 2) Understand how to use external links properly and stop dumping them into the middle of text; read WP:ELPOINTS; 3) consider backing off entirely of materials relating to the museum if you have ties to it. If you would like to see the types of edits you're making, but done properly, see how Eugene Cernan and Benjamin O. Davis Jr. have been repaired. The key takeways here are:
  • There is a verifiable source linked. In the case of Cernan, there is a link to [1] that supports the statement that he is in that hall of fame. In the edits you made, you just gave as a reference the text "San Diego Air & Space Museum"; and neither of the links you embedded into the text of the article ([2] and [3]) mentioned Cernan at all. Likewise for the Davis article, it was repaired to provide a source at [4].
  • Do not include embedded links to external sites in the text. They are seen as promotional, which of course, they are. Please see WP:ELPOINTS.
  • A wikilink to San Diego Air & Space Museum (if it's not already present in the article) would be perfectly appropriate, however. TJRC (talk) 22:23, 7 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright problem on San Diego Air & Space Museum[edit]

Material you included in the above article appears to have been copied from the copyright web pages https://www.aopa.org/news-and-media/all-news/2015/october/14/air-and-space-hall-of-fame-inductions-set-for-nov19 and http://sandiegoairandspace.org/press/release/International-Air-and-Space-Hall-of-Fame. Copying text directly from a source is a copyright violation. Unfortunately, for copyright reasons, the content had to be removed. Please leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions or if you think I made a mistake. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 20:19, 8 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

August 2017[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Rivertorch. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Henrich Focke have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. RivertorchFIREWATER 20:31, 8 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Henrich Focke. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. TJRC (talk) 20:41, 8 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
