Welcome to my talk page!

November 2012[edit]

Hello, I'm Spencer. I wanted to let you know that I removed an external link you added to the page Billie Jean King, because to me it seemed inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thanks, SpencerT♦C 05:14, 21 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

While very interesting interviews, I think they fall under WP:ELNO criteria 1. However, if the entire documentary was solely about the one individual, I would say that falls under a link to be considered under WP:ELMAYBE criteria 2. The interview in this particular article is a little less than 3 minutes long, and I think that's too short, even though it is interesting. SpencerT♦C 05:32, 21 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
True, however, below that one interview are 6 to 8 other interview with the same person. Please check it out. Thanks!Guanaco55 (talk) 05:34, 21 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Free Art and Technology Lab[edit]

Please do not add PBS links unless they support the article. This is known as coatrack: there is a hook, put something on it. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 03:46, 5 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for December 5[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Off Book (Web series), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Wired (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 11:08, 5 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Richard Nixon talk page notice[edit]

I have added a section on the talk page for the article Richard Nixon titled "Section deleted on 13 December 2012." Please share your thoughts on the talk page. Thanks. Mitchumch (talk) 17:26, 16 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your edit to Long-term care[edit]

Hi Guanaco55, I wanted to let you know I reverted your edit to Long-term care, because the link didn't seem appropriate for an encyclopedia. If the video you linked has received some independent coverage establishing it as a good source for information on long-term care, please restore it with appropriate citations. Thanks, Vectro (talk) 02:14, 29 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

External links PBS[edit]

Hello Guanaco55, as already mentioned above, please don't add indiscriminate PBS video links to Wikipedia articles (see WP:EL). Those video documentaries add little to no factual information about the articles' topics. Adding them to multiple articles could be seen as link spamming to promote the website (see WP:LINKSPAM). Thank you for your consideration. GermanJoe (talk) 20:37, 19 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

As those links have been added for several years, I have started a thread about this issue at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Spam. GermanJoe (talk) 21:18, 19 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
