WP:NOTBROKEN[edit]

Hi there. Thanks for updating Jay-Jay Okocha. Per WP:NOTBROKEN Attacking midfielder is preferable over Attacking midfielder. I've reverted that part of your change. Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 16:28, 10 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please keep this in mind. Mattythewhite (talk) 21:38, 2 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Again, at Ahmed Hassan (footballer, born 1993). striker is fine, striker is unnecessary. Robby.is.on (talk) 10:32, 6 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Ânderson Polga: centre-back is fine, Defender (association football)#Centre-back is unnecessary. Robby.is.on (talk) 19:36, 26 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Leandro Romagnoli: attacking midfielder is fine, Attacking midfielder is unnecessary. Robby.is.on (talk) 01:00, 31 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

MOS:OVERLINK[edit]

Hi there. Please be aware of MOS:OVERLINK which says to not link "names of subjects with which most readers will be at least somewhat familiar", for example countries like France or cities like Paris. I have removed the link at Jules Koundé. Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 12:10, 1 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Marc Roberts' height[edit]

Hello, and thank you for trying to improve the accuracy of Wikipedia. Unfortunately, what happens when an influential reliable source gets something wrong, is that everybody (quite understandably) copies it. I've added some sources at the article talk page, Talk:Marc Roberts (footballer)#Height, and will give you a chance to have a look before hopefully we can restore the previous height. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 14:39, 25 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks[edit]

Hi HazemGM. I just want to say thank you for good work in adding references for footballers' heights. :-) Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 09:47, 2 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Access-dates[edit]

Hello. At Charlie Lakin, you quite correctly changed his height from 1.80 as of October 2020, to 1.83 as per what the cited source says now. However, in October 2020, that source actually did say 1.80 and not 1.83. I've updated it myself at Lakin, but when you make a similar change in the future, please would you also update the |access-date= parameter, which gives the date at which the source was confirmed to match the content cited. thanks, Struway2 (talk) 11:09, 7 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2022 Elections voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2022 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add NoACEMM to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:55, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

INFOBOXREF[edit]

Please see WP:INFOBOXREF - in footballer infoboxes, the only things that we add reference to in the infobox are full name and height. GiantSnowman 20:09, 19 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Again - you do not need to add a reference for the date of birth to footballer infoboxes. GiantSnowman 16:31, 31 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox timestamps[edit]

Hello, I just wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions were not quite right. When updating statistics within the infobox of a footballer, please make sure you update the timestamp at the same time, so that both readers and fellow editors know when the information was last updated.

You can do this by replacing the existing timestamp within the |club-update= or |pcupdate= parameter for club stats, or the |nationalteam-update= or |ntupdate= parameter for international stats. For articles that use a DMY date format, use five tildes (~~~~~), or for MDY dates, use . This will generate the specific time the update was made.

If you have any questions about this, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you, Mattythewhite (talk) 17:35, 14 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
