Better source request for File:Bad as Me.jpg[edit]

Thanks for your upload to Wikipedia:

You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact Web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talk page. Thank you. Message delivered by Theo's Little Bot (opt-out) 21:29, 22 April 2013 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:Primal_Scream_-_More_Light.jpg)[edit]

Ambox warning blue.svg Thanks for uploading File:Primal_Scream_-_More_Light.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 17:23, 6 May 2013 (UTC)

RE: Confusion (album)[edit]

Hi. You picked up my GAN for Confusion (album) a couple of weeks ago and was wondering when it might get started. Dan56 (talk) 05:38, 16 May 2013 (UTC)

Your GA nomination of Between the Times and the Tides[edit]

Tomorrow's Harvest[edit]

not a big deal - but i'm wondering why this warranted "undiscussed genre addition" but this warranted a disambig? if i'm honest... refs in the infobox are ugly but i can understand their purpose (WP:GENREWARRIOR) - but consistency is important as well! Kaini (talk) 00:44, 13 June 2013 (UTC)

At the time of this edit, Allmusic just had ambient and downtempo listed among the genres, but later added IDM when the added the prose review. It should be safe enough to move the ref elsewhere in a few days after some anons (as you mentioned GENREWARRIORs) calm down. Idiotchalk (t@lk) 11:37, 13 June 2013 (UTC)

Tomorrow's Harvest (again)[edit]

Great work on this article mate, well done. Just a quick query: in this edit, you removed parentheses from the non-{{Rating|x|y}} scores - no problem with this at all, but is there a style-guide somewhere that discusses this being the correct format? Cheers! — sparklism hey! 13:18, 26 June 2013 (UTC)

Thank you—and sorry for only getting around to this now! It was discussed just over a year and a half ago at the template's talk page and has been common practice since. --Idiotchalk (t@lk) 05:04, 17 July 2013 (UTC)

June 2013[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to My Bloody Valentine (band) may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • "<ref>{{cite web|url=http://www.allmusic.com/album/mw0000946959|title=You Made Me Realise [Creation] – My Bloody Valentine: Songs, Reviews, Credits, Awards|work=[[Allmusic]]|publisher=[[

GuitarGeek Reference[edit]

GuitarGeek.Com is trusted guitar and guitarist reference on Wikipedia. You said there are multiple references already - I'm confused. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jetpack66 (talkcontribs) 23:08, 17 October 2013 (UTC)

I'm not doubting GuitarGeek's accuracy or reliability, it's just that the source is already used as a citation five times throughout the article (reference 1a–e) and available as part of the reflist. It seems superfluous to link it again. --Idiotchalk (t@lk) 16:03, 28 October 2013 (UTC)

Sources[edit]

There's an user that has recently started to add notes and opinions of a non professional writer on all the most famous albums articles from the 70's, 80's, 90's. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Albums#Piero_Scaruffi_-_Final_Verdict_on_using_him_as_a_source_in_reviews I presume, next in line, he'll add it to the PJ Harvey albums. So the community decided to give this week the final verdict. Each user is invited to reply shortly. Could you say what you think about it here? Thanks. Woovee (talk) 17:49, 24 January 2014 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Rowland S Howard in 1999.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Rowland S Howard in 1999.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. J Milburn (talk) 16:28, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
