Tommy Smyth[edit]

I reverted your edit about the the cyclist from Northern Ireland named Tommy Smyth to Wikipedia talk:Notability (people) because that page is for the discussion of one of Wikipedia's notability guidelines, not for the submission of new articles. If you want to write about him, first determine if he meets Wikipedia's notability requirements. See Wikipedia:Notability and Wikipedia:Notability (sports)#Cycling for information.

If this person is notable, you will need to write your draft with a neutral point of view and include suitable references from reliable sources which are independent of this person or any team, sponsor, or other organization he is connected with. If he is still alive, or if anyone mentioned in your draft is still alive, read Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons and make sure your draft complies with that policy as well.

The edit which I reverted sounds like it might have been copied from a book or some other source. Wikipedia cannot use material that is copied from other sources except in brief quotations unless that source is out-of-copyright. See Wikipedia:Copyright policy for more details. If you wrote this draft from scratch, then take my confusion as a complement - this is the type of writing I might expect to see in a book or web site that contained mini-biographies of well-known athletes or well-known people from a given country. Unfortunately, due to its non-neutral tone and other issues, this "style" of writing is not acceptable at Wikipedia.

Please consider reading Wikipedia:Your first article before creating your draft, and consider using the Article Wizard to create it. The Article Wizard will take you through several steps and at the end, it will ask you if you want to submit the draft for review or just publish it without it being reviewed. Because you are a new editor, I highly recommend asking for a review. If you do decide to create a draft, use the name Tommy Smyth (cycling). This will avoid confusion as there are already a couple other people with the same name who already have articles. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 15:49, 6 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Replify[edit]

Hello, Jillrobbuk. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Replify".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Hhkohh (talk) 07:58, 15 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
