Notice of noticeboard discussion[edit]

Information icon There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The thread is "Mistaken page move". Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:48, 28 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Mordebee. Your page move was reverted because you moved the article to the Wikipedia namespace by mistake. Page moves can be tricky and making mistakes is quite common; so, don't worry too much about that. If, however, you still feel a move should be made, it might be a good idea to propose it first on the article's talk page or request it per WP:RM#CM. Doing this will allow you to see if there's a consensus to make the move (the page was moved to Family Tree DNA back in 2013 per this request; so, moving it back might be a bit controversial), and also get others involved you may be more experienced at moving pages.
Finally, a page move is never going to be considered a minor edit and shouldn't be marked as such like you did here. It's OK if that was just a mistake, but please be take a look at WP:MINOR#When not to mark as minor changes for future reference. -- Marchjuly (talk) 01:05, 28 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
