Hi Matthew--great name, also my 11-year-old's name. I see that you have declined my Fraternal Benefit Societies page based on previous pages that already exist. When I clicked on the link you provided, however, it redirects me to the Mutual Organization page, which is very distantly related to Fraternals that I am writing about. In fact, mutual insurers you have referenced on that page are commercial, not fraternal. Hence, I believe it would confuse readers if I lumped Fratneral Benefit Societies into that page, when my goal in writing the article in the first place was toilluminate what fraternal benefit societies are rather than further confusing the issue. They are not social societies, like Elks and Moose; they are not for-profit insurers and they are not greek Frat houses in college campuses. They are not credit unions and they are not mutuals. They are their own distinct breed of organization.

The closest page that I see that is relevant is Friendly Society; however that page makes it sound like these are an institution of the past and not currently operating, evolving modern and relevant organizations serving American families--which they are. If you require me to do so, I would change the name of that page from Friendly Societies to Fraternal Benefit Societies and largely overwrite that copy; hence, it would appear to make more sense to create a new page. Please let me know how you would like me to proceed.

I apologize for doing it, but I brought it there because at this point, I'm rather confused about how to deal with this. This does not at all necessarily mean it will end up deleted, but in practice its a good way of getting advice. DGG ( talk ) 03:32, 27 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Ninalill. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Fraternal Benefit Societies".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Fraternal Benefit Societies}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 18:02, 20 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
