Preity Zinta FA[edit]

Hi there. The Preity Zinta article has recently achieved A-class status. Due to the wealth of support I have decided to now nominate for an FA class article which I believe and judging by the comments of others is pretty much up to. In my view it is better than some existing FA actor articles. I would therefore be very grateful if you could give it a final review in your own time and leave your comments and views at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Preity Zinta. Thankyou, your comments are always valuable. ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 10:57, 1 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there... reconciliation[edit]

Dear Pa...

We've been on really no so good terms during the last time. Since then, the Zinta article has achieved a GA status, a A status, and unfortunately was not promoted to a FA, and some users decided to review it again for a GA (!!!). Undoubtedly, it has shown improvement, but nobody cares, and it hurts. Because of this stupid review, Blofeld has left Wikipedia today. :( It is two weeks since I have realised that I miss you here. :) All of our stupid tiffs have been removed (!!!) (ie typical, best friend etc.). I hope to see you here as far as possible. I realised how I miss the so nice Pa7. I aplogize for everything I've done. Please, let's work together on everything. I guess it's time for reconciliation. I watched our discussions and suddenly realised how cruel I was towards you. I hope to see you here ASAP. Best regards, ShahidTalk2me 19:49, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome!!!!!![edit]

Wow where've you been? You've missed a terrible couple of weeks -you wouldn't believe what has happened!!! All I can say is check out the edit history of User:Sarvagnya. Things have been nasty!!! Zinta had 25 supports for FA but was knocked back by the Sarvagnya group. Not only this they then ganged up and delisted it back to a B!!! Next Sarvagnya set about deleting the Bollywood blog agreement and looks like he is going to succeed. Weeks of hard work wasted and clearly I was pissed off. Now he is trying to remove any screenshots whatosever from actor articles. Articles are under attack because of lot of "non RS" sources and apparent bias in articles. It really has been awful ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 13:30, 17 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No worries. I've stated my case and am no longer badly affected by it but I really don't like my efforts wasted.. I hope these people who seems to strong as a group can actually do something beneficial to these articles As yet I must admit I've seen little evidence of it. It would be great if you could complete those lists eventually but you must have been busy. Hey I hope you like my new henchmen on my talk page!!! ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 13:45, 17 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cute Mr Biggleworth was deleted in the commons and I had to adopt a new really evil looking kitty with one bright blue eye and one brown. Meooooowwww!!! ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 13:51, 17 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

An award :)[edit]

The Original Barnstar
Pa7 is hereby awarded with this original barnstar for her terrific work on Wikipedia, particularly on Bollywood-related articles. Down these two years on Wikipedia, Pa7 has shown her patience, seriousness, courtesy and willingness to help other editors. Creating articles, expanding them, improving them and fighting against vandalism have always been an integral part of her brilliant work. You're truly deserving! Enjoy;) ShahidTalk2me 14:05, 17 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ah thats so cute!!!! Thankyou Shahid for that kind gesture. Respect!!! ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 14:07, 17 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes could you help quickly add a few titles to 1976 and 1979. I fear somebody is going to reject it!! Once completed it will be be very organized indeed. I recently started Hong Kong see Hong Kong films of 1971. Eventually I want world film docuemented ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 17:58, 18 November 2007 (UTC) Thanks you only have to add a few titles just to bulk it up a little to start off with -some of the years only have like 4 films!! What my plan is - is the link all of the years in Bollywood in the Bollywood footer template so on every Bollywood film article you look at on wikipedia you immediately have instant access to the entirety of film histiry in Bollywood. See? ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 18:02, 18 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I was going to keep it in decades - but the sheer size of the films produced every year I think makes it better organized like this. I guarantee you KLM or Amargg or any of those couldn't care less how much work we put into this!! I've never had a word of thanks from anybody at WikiProject India ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 18:10, 18 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh of course I don't mean Indian cinema group !!!! I'm talking about that critical groups which Shahid is discussing below who always focus on neagativity!! Anyway its my encyclopedia or your encyclopedia as much as anybody's - I'm doing it for us!! ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 18:23, 18 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh i've also given the template a bit of a redesign - perhaps the orange was a little loud for the article. ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 18:24, 18 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm feeling tired and drowsy now - I'm going to take a break. I'm also sitting by a boiling hot radiator with my blofeld/ Hans the security guard jumper on too - in black this time - I'm boiling. Please feel free to add something. I've hidden the 1950s for now as I won't get around to that today -I'll return in a few hours. Adios -Mr Bigglesworth sends his love ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 19:35, 18 November 2007 (UTC) .[reply]

Now text[edit]

Heyy!

I'm so happy to see you here! And thanks for your kind words too.

I had a very bad time here during and after the FAC. It was one of my most terrible periods on Wikipedia. That was so difficult to me. One user (Blofeld reported him to ANI recently for violating pages) was removing references from all the Bollywood pages, including SRK, Preity and Big B (just see that. You'll be shocked), and I was blocked for reverting his edits (according to 3RR rule :-( ) It was such a stressful time for me. I've met some other terrible people who've been so unkind, nationalists, who really tried to annoy me, who've been colluding behind Wikipedia's walls to enforce their opinions on others (like someone said on the administrators noticeboard). I had to fight them (and as you know me, I was forced to show unpoliteness too). Blofeld had left Wikipedia for one week, and I was so sad. Some of them took Zinta to GA review, and the article was delisted (for no reason). All these users who've had tiffs with me suggested to delist it, that's why Blofeld left. Half the page was blanked because of un-reliability issues (after so many days of work...). But then, fortunately Dwaipayanc came to help me, Blof came back, Plumcouch was supporting, the article's improved, and I'm better (Now you're back! How much more so!).

Again, I'm sorry for everything, I was never acting that manner, reading our discussion I was getting so surprised: is it me? How could I? It's definitely OK if we disagree, it's the most natural thing, even between highly professional editors. It's just that I was very nervous about this article's progress, and lost my hole temper. Yet, there is no justification. I know that everything can be discussed in the best way, especially when it comes to nice editors like you. Hope to see you more frequently. I missed you so much :)

Best regards, ShahidTalk2me 14:33, 17 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you so much for this wonderful barnstar, for your support and kind words. I'm so happy now! I see you're very busy in real life, so please try to come more often, it's a pleasure seeing you and talking to you. As for Zinta, I won't give up. I'll try to get the best of it :) Again, thank you so much! Best regards, ShahidTalk2me 19:39, 18 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Lists and ... more trouble[edit]

Hi Pa hope the studying is going well. Its weird but every time I speak to you I'm overheated! That damn radiator burns your hand if you touch it +the computer is a natural heater anyway. Yes the person relaiased what was happening with the lists. I did fill in the titles Bollywood films of 1976 which only had three films. At present dear Shahid is bringing up the seperate Indian cinema thing again at User talk:Girolamo Savonarola. While I see why a seperate project might feel more honorable I strongly think the group could use the asseessment of WP Films where we don't want Indian cinema to be neglected. It doesn't function any differnetly to before but Shahid is under the impression it has become a crappy sub page and has lost its "mojo". Contrary to this it was merged to try to improve coordination and set out a clear stategy to improve all the articles from. The assessment process by Giro at WP Films is a very serious and successful one and I genuinely believe its connection with the film project can help improve the overall project eventually. ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 21:14, 25 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ah I'm cooling off now my old folks have decided to turn the heating off. Yes the thing is wikipedia is so luring that if you decide the visit for a few minutes it is hard to pull yourself away isn't it! I'm temporarily taking a breather from building the lists. Its developing nicely though I think. Mr Bigglesworth now has three awards to himself. Yesterday he was given a kitten as a present for his work ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "Talk"? 21:52, 25 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey!![edit]

Hello! How are you? I'm happy that you're here, and like yourself, I'm happy that we're on good terms too. :)

I think that's great if we can add more info to the In the media section. Thanks for the suggestions.:) Yet, we have to avoid making it sound superficial. We have to make it as interesting as possible (these FAC editors are very serious about it). I still think that we can add that her appearance on KWK was the highest viewed, so then it makes more sense. It was removed because some editors thought that the ref (indiantelevision.com) was unreliable (LOL).

The first interview you mentioned looks great (though I haven't seen that). Do you know what year that interview was? What did they talk about particularly? Please add that if you can. It's great.

Re Simi Garewal, I'm not sure about this because there is no Wiki page to the show, which puts its notability in doubt. But I'll create an article later. I personally like this episode the most. She's so beautiful there, and the bit when she talks about her father was so moving wasn't it..

I'll see the video. Divya Dutta? mmm interesting. I'll watch. Regards,--ShahidTalk2me 21:24, 25 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

indiantelevision is reliable. Dwaipayanc has checked this. ShahidTalk2me 21:43, 25 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Pa7, hello again :) I wanted to ask you please add some interviews to the Zinta page when you'll be here (those which you were talking about to me). I've moved the KWK mention a bit down, and I think we can conclude all her appearances in one little section which will be great. Hope you're doing well. :) Thanks and best regards, ShahidTalk2me 13:09, 29 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hello my friend!! It's OK Pa, take your time. Add it when you have the time and energy for it. Feels great to see you:) Thanks and my best regards, ShahidTalk2me 23:42, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Didn't you like it? ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ Talk? 22:30, 15 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ah cool. I have been very busy Pa. ILike Bollywood I have been setting up the pages by year for most of the major cinema industires around the world. See British films of 1962, American films of 1934, French films of 2000, Italian films of 1950, Spanish films of 2005 , Hong Kong films of 1971, Mexican films of 1944 etc!!. Eventually every film page on wikipedia will connect to the structured reference lists, putting it in its place in cinematic history -I think it is easier to understand film this way don';t you? I am willing to help you add the Bollywood titles but it would mean lot if you could continue your terrific work on them as before. {Pages like Bollywood films of 1972 are exemplary. Notice I have now linked the years in the Bollywood template. At present I'm tryint to put some order in the Tamil lists, great to hear from you!! ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ Talk? 13:36, 16 December 2007 (UTC) Basically if we can get every one of the Indian lists up to scratch like Bollywood films of 1972 things will devlop fast. Hopefully as thes elists increasingly become linked on the film pages other people will contribute. I also did Pakistan the other day and South Kore. E.g South Korean films of 2005 and Pakistani films of 2007 etc. Luckily I could split these using the work of others!! ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ Talk? 13:43, 16 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think you got up to Bollywood films of 1974. I know you've been busy with uni! ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ Talk? 13:48, 16 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeo I know -they churn out those Indian films don't they -incredible!! I think though its more important that the titles are laid out even if the info isn't filled in yet. It takes ages to fill in the details but if we can get the titles in first then it info can gradually be filled in over time right? ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ Talk? 13:51, 16 December 2007 (UTC) Yes. I'll aim at setting up the Bollywood 1950s year this week. Areas I feel need th most work are 1975-1989 and the 60s baby!! Yeaah! The 2000s are already incredibly detailed - the older films always seem to get neglected! ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ Talk? 13:55, 16 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

E.g like Bollywood films of 1976 only took a few minutes to add the titles. Good luck and Felicidad Navidad!!!! ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ Talk? 13:57, 16 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Filling the 30 and 40s would be great idea although I don't know if there are enough to split by year. I think at present the 80s are in the need of attnetion and pages like AMitabh Bacchan and Rekha etc get a great deal of traffic and people visiting their films and then they look at other films of 80s etc and the lists are empty!! As you said I don't know why there doesn't appear to be much of a fan base for old Bollywood films. With American film etc the interest in older films of the 30s and 40s are often more popular than later ones !! Bigglesworth sends his love ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ Talk? 14:10, 16 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Remember though that as useful as imdb is it is far from complete. Countries like Burma and Azerbaijan both have had large national cinema industries , the latter even since the late 1890s and have both produced several thousand films. However imdb only shows that they have made about 10 films between them!!! The coverage of Tamil film on imdb is very poor also. Ther eis absolutely no info on them whatsoever and I am certain the titles have a potential articles behind them all. I am also certain India was producing films as far back as 1915 evne earlier and some of the films are notable for wikipedia. Indian films of the 1920s etc!! Although it only seems that the industry developed properly after the second world war ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ Talk? 14:39, 16 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeo I was spot on e.g Raja Harishchandra 1913. Howver its difficult to pinpoint this as a Bollywood film as it isn't in Hindi - a silent film. If it was made in Bombay that might clear it ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ Talk? 14:43, 16 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OK I'll begin adding 1989 titles ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ Talk? 14:46, 16 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Voila!!!!. Thats a lot of films! ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ Talk? 15:16, 16 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well Blof's images have been deleted because of some "copyright" issues, but nevertheless, we now can use images from indiaFM (from events only) thanks to User:BOLLYWOOD DREAMZ, a great guy and an amzing editor. The Zinta article has improved very much as you said. It's now a GA and is having its second FAC!! Much work has gone into the project... I was wondering where you had gone!! Many other editors are inactive now - Plumcouch is hardly seen, Zora does not seem to be willing to comeback... Ekhantik had had a short comback but soon diappeared... Even Shez 15 (remember him? Hey! It's great that you're studying! Hold on!! After all it's your future. Once I'm back, I'll start uni as planned. I miss India!! I'm finally coming back in a month or two...
As for BOI - no problems now - Relata Refero helped us to prove its reliability which is now clear, and the source is considered reliable. :)

Dear Pa! Thank you so much for the brnstar and for the very kind words!!! I knew that we would finally do that and promote the article of our bubbly and talented actress to a featured actress, whatever it'd take. It certainly wouldn't have been possible without you. Yeh, Melbourne is beautiful!! But India is the best... although now I'm on vacation... What about you? Where do you live? In London? Have you been to India? ShahidTalk2me 12:00, 29 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well unfortunately I'm not making that many trips in here. I've only had a short departure to Stanley and visited Adelaide as well, but except that, Melbourne is a beautiful city. The people are so nice here... And there are many Indians. But I'm leaving this year. Do you consider yourself an NRI? LOL... When are you finishing uni completely? ShahidTalk2me 11:24, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I don't mean Melbourne in particular but Australia overall. There are relatively many Indians considering it's Australia. Haven't visited Sydney unfortunately. And in Melbourne there are... Everytime I go to the cine, half the spectators are Indian (well maybe that's because I mostly watch Indian films), and it amazes me that there are many Bollywood fans among the natives. Are there many Indians in London? ShahidTalk2me 18:34, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:KMGstill.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:KMGstill.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. J Milburn (talk) 23:05, 14 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
