Why?

Why are you so against the Chris Long article? I see yo uare a Ram fan, why not try and make other articles better rather than nit-pick ones that are pretty good? It seems you are more about tearing down others' work rather than doing the writing on your own. I could be wrong, but what to you add? It seems to me that some do a lot of work, then you come along and arbitrarily mess with it. If you inprove it, grammar, whatever, then great, but why not actually write an article abotu some ofthe Rams who need it? There are a lot of players who have pages that need to be improved . . . Chris Long is not one of them. 72.0.36.36 (talk) 05:28, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

Look, I don't want to fight with you. I would rather work with you on the Rams project. There is lots of work to be done. Due to time limitations I do a little at a time. In fact, I enjoy being edited. It helps things along. I just did a lot of stuff on Ike Bruce. I think it could be better and guys like you are ideal for that, fixing things that may be wrong or mispelled or maybe there is some information I left out. With the Chris Long thing it had a lot to do with some personal attacks that were against me by a user of two. I admit I was a bit sensitive about that because we'd gone through a lot of the same stuff before. I'd already cut back the quotes once before. However, I see that as Long plays there will be more things to add in. I view wiki as a living thing, changes are made as things change. After a season or two I would envision that some of hte quotes would no longer be needed. I don't view them as permanant, really. So, let's just work together and improve things. I will edit articles and put stuff in . . . and you and the rest can change whatever you want. I happen to have access to some Rams stuff that I think is interesting. Regardless, I think you should know I respect you and your work. I am actually pretty easy going, but one user has really been on my case for a while and it was unbfair for me to think you were part of that, I was feeling attacted and likely reacted that way. I think that user has been blocked for a day or two so that's not an issue now.72.0.36.36 (talk) 15:32, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
Well, it looks like you got your way anyway. I still will be glad to work with you, but I must say, this Chris Long thing has been a bad experience. Maybe in the future we can work together. I think because I reported chrisjnelson's uncivil behavior and now he is blocked has made a bunch of the "locals" angry with me and they are being, in my view, unreasonable. But they outnumbered me and forced their way rather than building a consensus with civility. Anyway, if tere are any Rams articles that need work let's work together, when you put those tags up there you ingited a hornet's nest. It was really not necessary in my view. 72.0.36.36 (talk) 23:44, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

I made a few edits to this article. See what you think72.0.36.36 (talk) 22:26, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

Jack Y

As per my suggestion I made a couple of minor edits. I added a hyphen and a space. They are really nothing, but I wanted to honor my own suggestion. 72.0.36.36 (talk) 20:55, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

Fano garycoleman listed a few more things, I went in and just chaned them to "He" or "Youngblood". One disturbing note is Pats1 showing up to comment. I am considering another actgion incident and I will if he stalks me around, following my edits around apparantly. If the shoe were on the other foot he post another vicious attack like he did on his talkpage . . . Anyway, let's keep this part of the Rams project and let's WP:IAR if need be to keep from this getting out of hand, like the CHris Long deal. If you want to check these edits, feel free. I would prefer that Pats1 not be a part of this because he will not adhere to wiki rules in my opinion, well, some of them, as long as he gets his way. That's what I think. I think you and I and the rest ofthe Rams and NFL project can handle this one. He need not be here. It will cause too many problem in ym view. 72.0.36.36 (talk) 23:24, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
Pats1 has decimated the Jack Youngblood page. It will never be the same, it is ruined. You and I were just getting starting and he comes in an just rips into it. I don't understand the hate of people sometimes. Just pure hate. In a way I led him there. With you making changes I went there to help and he followed me there. We have zero control over the article. He will never give this up. Never. 72.0.36.36 (talk) 01:29, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
So you agree with Pats1. Well everyone is free to disagree. There is nothing there that could not have been done by consensus and by working together. It is wrong what happened. Some people create things, work hard to get them done. That is what I did. I was working with you and would have worked with a person who hates me. However, he came in and took it over. I have to wonder why you'd compliment a person like that. I guess I am not and "ends justify the means" person. In your quest to get the Rams a GA you have disinfranchised on of the ones who brought that material to the article. I would have thought you'd have been in favor of fairness and equity. I guess not. You and I and the other Rams people could have reorganized that as well and enjoyed doing it. There could have been WP:CIVIL and WP:CONSENSUS and WP:IAR. Now the town bully took over and you like it. As I said you are likely one who thinks the end does justify the mean. I cannot stand by such a wicked principle. You'd rather (I think) get a GA than afford me fairness. 72.0.36.36 (talk) 21:14, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
I should have put it another way. I shouldn't have said you agreed with him, or took his side, I should I have just noted that you thanked him, I should have been more articulate . . .that was wrong, but I was hoping to be a part of something that improved the article. I will still fill in things there, the references, etc. I will try and restore some of the cuts that were way too deep. The truth is I can fill in the year-by-year stuff but I am not sure I will do that. Somehow rewarding misbehavior does not feel right but I will still try and improve it. I was accused of WP:OWN just because I wanted a say-so i nthe matter. So, I am saddened but not angry. I will still work with you on Rams stuff, I am not a quitter but I do not trust Pats1. In football, around NFL people, you know, the people in the game they all say there are good guys and bad guys. I am of that same belief. There are good guys and bad guys. You are a good guy. I am a good guy. Good guys make mistakes. Then there are the bad guys. bad guys cannot ever admit they are wrong. Bad guys think they are so right that the ends justify the means. I stand up to bad guys. This time I lost. I put in a lot of stuff on Ike Bruce, I bet Pats1 goes there next and takes it over. Stalkers don't quit.72.0.36.36 (talk) 21:51, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
I'll be sure to put Isaac Bruce on my list. And I'll steal your lunch money. Pats1 T/C 21:58, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

I Refuse to Get Used to The Dark Blue and Old Gold colors!

Forgive me...just an old Los Angeles Rams fan grunting. Thanks for your invitation to join the project; in fact I've already signed up. I'd like to participate, and, as I think I wrote, I do have, if I may humbly say so, a pretty good knowledge of the team's history from the late 1950s to, I'd say, the late 1980s. I went to games at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum at least once a year from 1962 to 1979 (my Dad made it clear to me at an early age that I was to be a Ram fan) and also to a few at Anaheim Stadium thereafter. I have one of the books you mentioned, Joseph Hession's, but not the other. I also have a book titled Los Angeles Rams/Great Teams Great Years, which provides a lot of early Ram history. I'll peruse the page and offer some ideas for expansion of articles or the creation of new ones, and by all means keep in touch with me for anything that you think I might be able to contribute. Glad to meet you, Pinkkieth. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lantana11 (talkcontribs) 04:22, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

GAN remind

Hi. This is just a reminder that it has been over 30 days since you placed the good article nomination for Jack Youngblood on hold. If the article does not yet meet the GA criteria, you may wish to contact the nominating editor. Thank you for your help. Best, epicAdam (talk) 20:08, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

Germany women's national football team

Hi, I intend to nominated the article for featured status shortly, however, I first want to do a final fact-checking, especially of all the statistics. Until then, I would ask you not to go ahead and nominate it yourself. Also, merely placing the FAC template on the talk page does not start the nomination process. I would be happy to get your support once the article is nominated, of course. ;) EnemyOfTheState (talk) 18:16, 26 August 2008 (UTC)

move of germany's national football team

Hey Pinkkeith!

Why did you move the article on Germany's national football team to German national football team. Actually all major national football teams reside under Noun_Country_Name national football team. No reason why Germany should not. Also you could start a discussion before making such moves.

Regards, OdinFK (talk) 16:14, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

There was no discussion on the discussion page of the German national team site. I don't pretend I would have seen that in time, but there should definitely be a link.

Regarding my statement: The article should definitely reside under Germany national football team. Similar articles reside under Brazil national football team (not brazilian), Italy national football team (not italian), etc. And when in doubt refer to the the Wiki-Guidelines: Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/National teams. Sorry if my statement was unclear. OdinFK (talk) 16:31, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
