Help requests[edit]

I would like to upload the SCC logo and some sidebar information similar to Starbucks Wikipedia page. How do I do that?

Which 'lock' status keeps people from randomly editing the content and how do I achieve that status?

  • Hi, I can help with those questions. First, to upload an image file, simply click the link in the toolbox on the left that says "Upload file", and follow the instructions there. Please be sure that the file is in the public domain, or is susceptible to fair use. Second, in terms of locking articles, this is very rarely done, usually only in cases where an article has been subject to a substantial amount of vandalism. If you have such a situation, you can request page protection at Wikipedia:Requests for page protection. However, this is rarely used precisely because most edits are good edits, and we strive to leave the encyclopedia open to those good edits even at the risk of occasional vandalism. Interview Request[edit]

This is Michael Lee Pope, journalist who wrote the recent story about the effort to open the records of the State Corporation Commission. I am very interested in your recnet post "on behalf of State Corporation Commission (Virginia)." I would like to find out how that works, and which person from the commission is making such a request. Please give me a call at 703-615-0960 or send an email to mpope@wamu.org. Thank you very much.
