I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Getting the articles just right can be tricky - but there are lots of people to ask!

If you have any questions, just click on the Contact Me link after my signature at the end of this section. Alternatively, check out Wikipedia:Questions, or ask your question on this page and then place {{helpme}} before the question.

By the way, when you are writing on a discussion page (or someone's talk page), it is considered good manners to sign your comment... to do this, just add ~~~~ at the end of your comment. That will put your user name (Skahraman) and the date/time at the end (or you can click on the icon when you are editing. Never sign on an article page - only on a discussion page.

There are several ways of getting help:

  1. Leave a message on this page. It is on my watchlist, which means that I can see when the page is changed!
  2. Leave a message on my talk page
  3. Go into IRC Channel #wikipedia-en-help
  4. Leave a message on this page starting with {{helpme}} followed by your question - someone in the IRC help room will be over as soon as possible
  5. Leave a question on the Help Desk or on the New Contributors' Help Page

I am now going to sign this message with my signature, by adding ~~~~ here: -- PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Swissotel The Bosphorus, Istanbul, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of Swissotel The Bosphorus, Istanbul and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. -- PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 16:00, 4 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Swissotel the bosphorus, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. April 2010[edit]

Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia. While objective prose about products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Thank you. Acroterion (talk) 11:51, 22 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. If you continue to add promotional material to Wikipedia, you will be blocked from editing. andy (talk) 16:02, 22 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing, for a period of 24 hours, for adding promotional material to Wikipedia. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. I am trying to create an account for our company and do not have any ide why it is blocked. Please unblock

Decline reason:

No. You may not create a Wikipedia article (if that's what you mean) or an account (if that's what you mean) for your company; we're not allowed to write about ourselves or our companies on Wikipedia. --jpgordon::==( o ) 14:38, 27 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Your account is blocked from editing as you have continually added a promotional article to Wikipedia regarding an entity with which you have a conflict of interest. Wikipedia is not the Yellow Pages or Travel Guide, and cannot be used as such. You have been advised multiple times that the article may NOT be added to Wikipedia, but you have continued to add it, regardless of the warnings. Pls unblock mu ID. I will rewrite the text which will be suitable for Wikipedia which only gives information and no advertisement included.

I have moved this to the bottom of the page - in future, please add any messages at the bottom of the page, unless you are responding to a specific person's message. With regard to the article, at this moment in time I can see no way in which the hotel meets the criteria for inclusion. If in 3 month's time, there is significant coverage of the hotel in reliable independent sources, such that it meets the notability criteria for inclusion, then an article can be created. If not, then any further re-creation will be deleted, and the article will be indefinitely protected from recreation. If, when you are unblocked, you re-create the article without reliable third-party sources, you may be blocked again. -- PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 08:07, 28 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
