Conflict of Interest?[edit]

If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam); and,
avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

Functional Decomposition Methodology[edit]

I'm afraid your correction of the reference makes things worse, because it is clear the article is a copy from the website, which is clearly marked "copyright". Wikipedia cannot accept copyright material - everything must be released under the GNU Free Documentation License, and copyright material is liable to speedy deletion. On every edit screen it says, in bold type, "Do not copy text from other websites without a GFDL-compatible license. It will be deleted."

There is more information at WP:COPYRIGHT#Contributors' rights and obligations, including information about how to arrange a GFDL release; but I must tell you that in my opinion (though I am not Authority) you would be wasting your time to do this, because the article undoubtedly fails Wikipedia's No Original Research policy. Only once your new method has become well enough known for references from independent reliable sources to be available would an article be acceptable.

Rather than tag the article iimmediately for speedy deletion, I have asked for advice at the administrators' notice board here.
